"Oh, babe, I know," she said, making sure she kept her voice gentle. Thunder continued to rumble in the distance, and the clouds were slowly beginning to gather. "You don't have to be on deck right now if you don't want to. It's alright."

Allison went to the kitchen to see what Rael was cooking. It smelled good.
"Hey," Allison said. She scared Rael with her sudden presence.

Carson stretched his fingers as he made his way up to the main deck, chasing away the uncomfortable stiffness that still clung to his joints. The engines were holding together, mostly, and the hull seemed to be withstanding the thunder and rain, so the main concern was keeping everyone on task until they managed to make it through the turbulence. That, and seeing Rainy. His condition had been getting worse and worse as of late, and something about storms always brought out the worst of it.

I miss my boyfriend Damien. Allison though to herself. Rael kinda looks like him a lot.

She really didn't want to be alone, but the rumbling thunder was getting to her, and Carsyn couldn't keep up the brave face for long. A guiltily pleading look morphed over her face as she peered up at Rainy and slowly signed. "Could I stay in your office?" It was always a gamble as to who on the ship could understand sign language, and she often forgot who were the few she could communicate with that way. Carsyn hoped that Rainy understood her meaning.

Rainy spotted Carson from across the deck. He was moving stiffly and she could feel waves of discomfort emanating from him. She waved him over, silver jewelry clinking on her wrists as her arms moved. "Hey, Carson. Come join us." She looked back over at Carsyn and smiled. "Of course you can. You're always welcome."

Why did it always feel like the long hand took forever to move ahead? Time had always seemed to slow down before mealtime. The feeling had always bothered him, somehow patience always rested within him. Rael sighed as he wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. Realizing what he just did, his attention went to washing his hands and not the time. Some old habits haven't died for him yet, strange now that he thought of it.

After cleaning off his hands, he went over to the window. Rael lightly leaned against the wall looking out at the horizon. Every time his dark brown eyes caught a glimpse, the man couldn't help but stare just for a second longer. It really is something to him, you couldn't get this view or feeling anywhere else except up in the air. Evening starry skies mean just that much to him too.

He wiped off his forehead with his pink rag before stuffing it in his pocket. Once again, he took a quick glimpse at his watch; only a few more minutes to go. Rael looked up and noticed that Allison was there. For a second, his eyes widened, how did he not hear the door? Ah, he needs to be attentive. What if something else happened? "Morning Allison.", he smiled,"Breakfast should be ready soon, I made some rice porridge, beans, and the biscuits are cooling off."

Shawn sighed. He continued his work. He decided to scrap the idea of the gun. There was no way it would actually work. He put it aside and put his head down. He was the only one that wasn't on deck. He looked back at his closet and looked back. He remembered what his father said to him when he was younger. "When ye'll be pirate like me you'll have to work on deck. You'll always be needed on deck." Shawn liked the part 'You'll always be needed', even if his father didn't mean it like that.

He decided to head to the kitchen. See what Rael was cooking up. He finally found the kitchen door and he spotted Alison in there as well. He decided to great both of them. "Good day, Rael. Good day Alison. What'cha making?" Shawn asked Rael.

(Can we have like a romance in this? Just curious… Because I want my character to have a romance with Rael if thats okay with @knightinadream)

@callycat

Carson gave her a smile and a nod and made his way over with practiced ease, even as the pain began to flare up. It was strong today, stronger than it had been in a while, but he managed to keep most of the discomfort from his face as he smiled at Rainy and Carsyn. "Rainy! Just the lady I've been looking for, how's the storm treating you?"

@callycat

((legit didn't realize there was a Carson before using my girl, so freaking trippy))

(lol I was gonna comment but I figured you didn't realize)

Relief weighed heavily on her shoulders, and Carsyn smiled gratefully at Rainy. She waited until Carson—it was still odd to her that there was a male version of her name on board—greeted them before making her escape. She smiled at him in return, then added a small wave as she ducked away to stow herself away to Rainy's office. As long as she was away from the storm, she could keep herself busy to try and ease the fear.

Jax grinned, peering off the edge of the ship. Her small hands gripped the railings as she leaned over, gazing at the stormy sky around the ship. Reluctantly, the girl pulled herself away from the edge, and Jax scampered into her quarters. She surveyed the small room, her gray eyes taking in the hammock, desk, and the chest that held her few belongings. Jax grabbed her bag from a hook on the wall, and slung it over her shoulder, making her way to the galley.
"G'morning, everyone! Storms truly are exciting, aren't they?" Jax's cheerful demeanor was present, even early in the morning. "What's for breakfast?"

@callycat

He laughed, giving Carsyn a wave as she skittered away and making a note to check up on her later. "I can't say I blame you. Less of a chance that the engine'll explode in the sunshine." His smile was playful. "But that's a different discussion! I was actually hoping I could get my hands on some painkillers."

Allison adored everything about Rael. From the way his warm light brown hair reflected the sun, to his dreamy dark brown eyes. Allison hoped that he felt the same way.
(Btw, Allison is extremely attractive, like 11/10.)

Allison sat down.
"Hey, who do you think is the most attractive person on this ship?" Allison asked.

@SpookyScarySnoteleks group

Jax passed Allison, a cheerful grin still on her face.
"The ship," she replied with a giggle. "The craftsmanship is excellent, you know."
Her smile faded momentarily, then returned. "The shipwright's work is truly incredible!"

"Yeah, shes a beauty alright, but WHO do you think is the most attractive person on this ship?" Allison repeated.

@SpookyScarySnoteleks group

Jax blinked.
"The ship. I might be a close second," she giggled.
The girl ran her fingers through her long, brown hair, and she pulled the mask that was around her neck up to cover her mouth and nose.

"Joints acting up again?" she said, already knowing the answer. "Well, nothing I can't fix. I'm thinking of switching you off of your current prescription and onto something a little heavier. Think you can handle it? It's a little more addictive, of course."
