Personality: Our friend sort of has a paternal/caregiver personality in a way. He always looks after others putting them before himself and tends to act like a father towards others. Rael will not rest unless he knows that everyone is alright. Rael is self-reliant always getting things accomplished on his own. If anyone needs help, he'll gladly stop whatever he's doing and offer any assistance or guidance. He loves to listen to other people too! Seeing people getting lit up talking about things they love or stories makes him happy. The man tries to stay away from being judgmental to others yet always finds himself criticizing no one but himself. Secretly, he can get heated up about things; Rael always tries to maintain a calm aura. On the side note, he's an night owl who likes to work a lot.
Motivations: Mostly this guy is driven to take care of others making sure that everyone's alright and doing their duty without trouble.
Moral Alignment: True Neutral: He's only concerned about the well-being of himself and those he considers friends, family (his crew), and allies. Rael will act maliciously to those that hurt him or the crew; other than that he doesn't care about anyone else. He will keep his word in his best interest, but will not kill a person 9/10 times.
Appearance: Rael is around 6'2(187.9 cm) and weighs about 200 lbs(90.9 kg). His body shape is rectangular with a slight mesomorph build. Despite being of Korean ancestry, his skin color is light beige and can get darker if Rael is out in the sun for a long time. Rael's eyes are dark brown (it looks like it could be black) and his hair color is light warm brown. Usually Rael keeps his hair parted on the left side. He's got a birthmark on his chin and nose; there's also a long scar on the left side of his abdomen from falling off of a horse when he was twelve. He has no tattoos but is considering it cause why not? Rael's typical outfit is a white or navy tank top with long cargo pants and a sliver necklace. He only wears a jacket or coat if it gets cold.
Worst Fear: Letting down/failing the crew, he really does not want to disappoint anyone or fail them. He is severely self-critical of himself and hates making even the smallest mistakes.

Why They Joined and How Long They've Been There: Rael wanted to escape his life and the responsibilities his family would enforce on him. The night he ran away, he was supposed to get married the morning after, but Rael knew that if he did then there'd be no chance of having a simple life or being the man he wants to be. He's been in the crew for seven years now.
Brief Backstory: Rael is the third youngest out of nine children; he's only close with his younger siblings and their father. His family is full of nobles, generals, politicians, and the regular ignorant type of rich people . Most of his childhood, he spent it in the kitchen, running around, or looking after his two younger siblings. The family's head cook, named Briar, was sort of like a second mother to Rael; she taught him a lot of lessons especially those in cooking and baking. As he got older, his father would teach Rael how to be a proper man. Some lessons were worth learning while others made him feel trapped. Eventually he found out that being noble and whatever wasn't for him at all. Time and time again, he would get in trouble whether it's if he missed a lesson with the tutor or sneaking out or even having a secret relationship with one of the servants; Rael would get scolded for helping the servants too. One night Briar told him about pirate crews that could need a cook or someone to help, so the night before his wedding, he ran away.
Other: He fucking loves books especially cook books, map books, or classical literature. If he's not cooking or doing anything, he's reading; Rael will even read to you if you ask. Give Rael a book and he'll love you. Aside from that, he's very cuddley.
