Marlo walked into a room that was labeled as the 'Girl's Building,' as she brushed dark curls out of her face. She adjusted the bag on her shoulder as she looked around, feeling out of place already. Almost everyone in the room was fair skinned, compared to her own tanned, cinnamon-colored tint. Marlo continued to walk towards a bunk, sub-consciously playing with the hem of her faded sweater.

@Lenered

The girl who had just walked in was unusual. Dark skin. Marya didn't know what favor the girl'd pulled to get into the Axis Victory Festival, but she was here nonetheless.

Marlo felt the stares, but ignored them, instead focusing on what was ahead of her. She bit her bottom lip and tilted her head upwards, her brother's words replaying in her mind. You look different, they won't accept that. Chin up, Mar. She finally made it towards her bunk, right next to a girl with dirty blond hair and penetrating brown eyes.

@Lenered

Everything had to be perfect for her to portray Asja. Even the smallest of events could change the odds. Marya smiled at the girl next to her, "My name's Asja, what's yours?"

(btw marya's wearing blue eye contacts)

She set her bag down and looked over at the girl, brushing a curl away from her face.
". . .Marlo. Marlo Mayer." She answered, beginning to study the girl. Asja was a perfect representation of what Hilter wanted. Blond hair, blue eyes, light skin. Thank goodness Marlo's parents had a high status, or who knows where she would be right now.

@Lenered

"So, how'd you get in? High status, excessive training, or just through a competition?" Asja had been a blunt girl, straight to the point and extremely see-through. Marya was a complete opposite.

Marlo shrugged and sat down, continuing to watch the girl curiously. "I'm here now, that's all that matters. What about you, Asja?"

@Lenered

"Training. I don't know if you'd heard, but I'm pretty infamous for winning a bunch of competitions already. I happen to excel at gymnastics, but I am a contender for the motorcycle race that comes after." even when this plan hadn't erupted, Marya had still known Asja Dragomirov. Sister to Felix Dragomirov, who had already won the Axis Victory Festival before.

( Ayee Felix )

Marlo nodded slowly, listening to what the girl said. She wasn't too fazed though. She had seen plenty of people who were just as capable as Asja in past competitions. "Isn't your brother. . . Felix?" Marlo asked after a long pause, a curious look in her hazel eyes.

@Lenered

"Yes, yes he is. Twin brother, in fact. We're close." Marya smiled, trying to look like Felix meant so much to her.

Marlo nodded and paused, wondering what she should ask the girl. Nothing too personal, or Asja probably wouldn't answer. "Are you nervous?"

Deleted user

"How did you learn to become a gymnast?" Marlo asked, glad that the conversation was focused on Asja. She didn't need people asking her about her past.

Marlo nodded and realized that she didn't have any more questions to ask. "What's in the arena?"

@Lenered

"It changes every year. Last year wasn't even a tournament! Felix told me it was more like a death match/race. If you went unconscious, you were out and everyone raced to get to their motorcycles first." Marya pretended to be happy. It was getting exhausting.

@PuffPoff

Benjamin tried his best to sleep, but it was quite obvious that he wouldn't be able to. It wasn't just because of his seat and worry. The muscular and more intimidating boys around him were extremely loud, and they didn't even look remotely tired. They all seemed to be practicing a skill that they excelled at, weather it be physical strength or knife throwing. An idea popped into Benjamin's head. He scooted back to the corner of his bed so he was mostly concealed by the shadows. As quietly as he could, he took out his pencil and notebook from his boot and began writing descriptions of the boys, as well as whatever skill they were practicing. That's the one way I can beat these boys… hopefully…

Marlo nodded and looked around, noticing girls already grouping together. The darker skinned girls in one area, the smaller ones in another, and the strongest and cruelest all bunched up. She studied each of them, trying to figure out what they were like. How would she win this? Each of these contestants had trained, prepared, and were ready to kill to win. All Marlo did was start a small rebellion and get kicked out of school.

@Lenered

"So, stay with me? I'm going to assume every person in here is an asshole, and you're not, so we should stick together." Marya was trying to be upbeat. She probably shouldn't have used asshole.

Deleted user

"True. Everyone in here is an asshole." Marlo agreed, turning back towards Asja. At least she would have an ally in the competition now.
