Nodding a little, Phoenix continued on. "Then next time. You can take me to my dorm the next time we go out, if you want. I promise not to complain or whine." He smiled lightly, keeping her close to himself.

"Sounds good to me. And I'm going to hold you to that promise," Cicada teased a little as she relaxed some. She glanced around the shop her eyes landing on the doors, "So ready to go then?"

"Mm, yeah. As long as you are." Phoenix smiled lightly, kissing her forehead once more. He pulled away a little, still keeping a hold on her hand. Once he reached it he pushed the door open for her. "After you."

Cicada gave him another smile as she walked through the door waiting for him on the other side. She kept a hold of his hand, "Why thank you. Do you have homework to do tonight?"

"I think so," He started, following her out of the shop. "But nothing ridiculous. Just a little bit, I'm pretty sure. If I feel like it, I could probably be in bed by eleven. But who knows." Shrugging a little, he started to lead her down the side walk towards the dorm building.

"That's not bad," Cicada hummed in thought. She had a light smile on and began to lightly swing their arms with the rhythm of their walk, "I don't have a whole lot either, but I'm probably not sleeping tonight."

"Why not, tonight?" Phoenix asked softly, smiling a little as she swung their arms. He was genuinely curious, wanting to know why she thought she wouldn't. Normally it wasn't anything that he could control, but he would always offer help.

"It relates to what happened earlier," Cicada told him softly after a beat or two of silence that felt like it was dragging on forever. She looked over at him biting her lip, "So, uh, don't worry about it okay?"

Phoenix slowed their pace a little, glancing over to her. "You know, it's pointless to say that. There's nothing I can do?" He asked weakly, studying her face for a couple of seconds. "If you think there's anything, just tell me."

"Nothing that I know of," Cicada forced out the action being almost clear as day. She had a handle on her emotions normally, but not today. Not right now. Besides the one thing he could do she didn't want to offer to him, not at the moment, "Sorry."

"Alright… I just… you're sure?" Phoenix asked weakly, keeping their pace the same. He was getting more and more worried, feeling useless to her. "I don't want you to struggle… especially if there was or is something I could do."

"I, welllll, there may be one thing," Cicada eventually conceded not being able to take the weak sound his voice had. She was blushing slightly as she continued on with her thought, "But it's something you probably wouldn't be comfortable with."

"Depends what you have in mind. I can be pretty flexible, Cicada." Phoenix told her softly, keeping his gaze on her while he waited. He was up for practically anything if it would help. "What did you have in mind?"

"I, uh, sleeping with me?" Cicada told him back her face turning redder by the minute. She realized she had phrased that poorly before quickly correcting herself, "Like we sleep in the same room and uh, yeah."

Phoenix gave her an odd look, before he let things click. “Oh- you mean… right. I mean, if you’re comfortable with it, I’d be up for it.” He told her softly, smiling a little to her. “But I understand if you don’t think it would be a good idea.”

"I, wait really?" Cicada looked up at him blinking a moment or two. Her smile grew as she looked up at him and stammered a little, "I mean if your fine with it than I would love it if you could."

"Of course I'm fine with it. It gives me an excuse to cuddle with you." Grinning a little, Phoenix leaned over to kiss her cheek. He pulled back a little, still holding on to her hand. "I want to grab a few things from my dorm, first. If you're alright with it."

"Of course! I guess we're heading to your dorm first then, eh?" Cicada responded nudging him a little after he kissed her cheek. She was teasing him a little as she looked at him, "I'm guessing you want to get your homework?"

"Seems like it." Phoenix grinned in return, noting the campus was up ahead. "And yeah. But I'll just do it tomorrow before class. I want it on hand, so I don't have to to try and get it in the morning."

"Are you sure you don't want to get it done tonight? I mean, you can work on it in my room since I have some work to do too," Cicada told him with a raised eyebrow. She had a light smile on, "But I understand wanting to grab it."

"Mm, that's true. We'll see how the night goes." Phoenix shrugged, keeping up a light smile. "If you want to get your done, I'll start mine up. Not sure how much I'll get done, but I'll have time during or in between classes."

"Okay, I don't want you to not get your assignments finished on account of me," Cicada told him while brushing her hair behind her ear. She smiled up at him, "You do you though."

"I'll be fine. You don't need to worry about me." Phoenix smiled lightly, pulling her closer. With an arm over her shoulders, he hummed lightly to himself. "I'll get it done in time, and you won't have to worry."

Cicada snuggled up against him and let out a slight sigh. She gave him a smile as she glanced up at him, "Okay. You better lead the way to your dorm, I'll probably stay outside of the building if that's fine with you."

"Mhmm, that's fine. If you think I'm taking too long, you can text me." Phoenix hummed a little, nuzzling into her hair. He kept up a grin as he did so and kissed the top of her head. "It should only take me a few minutes, though."

"Okay," Cicada hummed as she leaned into his touches. She hesitated a moment before nuzzling against him very lightly and very gently, "I hope I don't have to text you."

"I hope not too," Phoenix hummed, smiling more when she nuzzled up against him. Even if it was a little, it made him happy. "But I don't want you to feel like I'm abandoning you. So really, text me if you need me to hurry up."

"I will," Cicada told him as she reluctantly moved away from him. They were getting close to his dorm, or at least she assumed so and he needed to head inside, "Um, be quick then. Please."

"I'll be as fast as I can." Phoenix hummed softly, noting his dorm building was right ahead. Pausing in thought, he patted his pockets and pulled his car keys out. "You want to wait in my car, just in case?"

"I, yeah," Cicada nodded reaching for the car keys in his hand now. She honestly would feel fine anywhere, but the car might be better for her. A little smile was on her face, "Thank you."
