Lysander had likewise recovered, to an extent. The bruising on his stomach had gone away, but the bite on his shoulder would leave a scar and he wasn't able to walk on his own yet thanks to the blow he took to his knee.

Lysander looked up from his book. ”Can I help you with anything, love?” he asked with a soft smile.

”I can see that.” he smiled, sitting up a little more. ”What are you looking for?”

" our marriage certificate" she said opening a drawer

He raised a brow at that answer. ”Well… I remember where I put a copy of it. Why do you need it?”

" I need the original" she said

”What for?” he asked, trying to think of possible reasons she needed their marriage license.

She chuckled rolling her eyes

He smiled at her laugh. ”Ok. If I tell you where the real one is, will you tell me why you need it?”

”Minx.” he sighed, crossing his arms and leaning back.

He chuckled a little at that.

She walked over and opened his side drawer "Found it!"

”Dang it.” he mumbled as she found it. ”I thought it was in the safe in the office.”

" Nope that's where the kids birth certificates are" she said leaning over to kiss his cheek

”Oh, right.” he smiled and leaned into the kiss before kissing her cheek back.

She smiled

”I love you.” he smiled at her.
