Lysander laid back down and let out a small sigh. ”So far, I’m agreeing with Evan on this. How long should it take me to heal like this? And how much longer after that before we know if I can turn again?” he asked.

" a few months" tyler said " and right now even I can smell the poison" she said

Lysander nodded a little. ”Ok. Then, obviously, we’ll have to wait until then. In the meantime, I’ll think it over and by the time I can move without being in pain, I’ll have an answer.” he compromised.

" I hope you know Betty won't turn you and no matter what you do she'll distance herself" Tyler said

”Then I won't ask her if I make that choice. But why would she distance herself if I said I wanted to spend forever with her?” he asked, knowing why it would be easier if he said he wanted to stay human.

"Well considering if she wakes up she she feels at fault for this whole thing"

Lysander almost glared at the ceiling for Tyler's comment. ”First of all, she will wake up. I know she will.” he said firmly, refusing to believe anything else. ”And secondly, it's not her fault. None of this is.”

" we can't help what she feels " tyler said

”I know that.” Lysander sighed, sinking into the bed. ”I just… I guess I'll just have to find a way to convince her that it's not her fault.”

She sighed closing her eyes

Henry shook his head slightly. ”Good luck with that, Ly.” He wasn't going to say it, but sometimes he thought that Betty had a small martyr complex or something like it.

Lysander didn't answer, just gently took Betty's hand and enjoyed how perfect they fit together.

Betty's ears twitched once more

”I guess we'll leave you alone for now.” Henry suggested as Lysander affectionately squeezed Betty's hand.

" but he way she's having a nightmare" Tyler said before leaving

Lysander lifted his head sharply at Tyler's comment before he looked over at Betty, ignoring the new pain in his neck.

Betty was hurting physically and from her nightmare she was scared

Lysander leaned towards her and kissed her cheek, still holding her hand. ”My angel. I’m right here. It's alright, you're safe.” he whispered in her ear.

Her ear twitched and she squeezed his hand

Lysander smiled softly, relieved by the action. ”That’s right, love. It's me. … Do you think you can wake up?” he asked gently as he ran his thumb against her knuckles.

Betty tried to open her eyes but couldn't

Lysander leaned over and kissed her cheek. ”Please, my love. I need you to wake up.” he whispered.

Her ears twitched before she jolted up

He looked at her, a little surprised that she had actually woke up. “Betty?”

Betty looked around before holding her head in agonising pain

Lysander gently held her hand. “What’s wrong?” he asked in worry.

" it hurts!" She cried out

Lysander sighed a little and gently rubbed his thumb against her hand. Even if he was still a vampire, he wouldn't be able to help. … But he wasn’t a vampire at the moment. He looked down at his wrist then back up at his wife. ”Here.” he offered as he lifted his arm towards her mouth.

" N-No that's okay I-ill just find Evan" she said
