Cicada laughed a little as she gave him a little bump back. He was just a tad too tall for him to reach his cheeks easily, "That's a good thing. It's no fun being competitive if your partner isn't competitive as well."

Snickering lightly, Phoenix continued to lead her on with a soft smile. "Well, I'm holding you to that. I don't want to hear any complaints if I win." He chirped a little before smiling down to her.

@ShadeStar

“Which you won’t,” Cicada countered with a grin. She had confidence she would be the winner, “But in the rare event it happens no I won’t be mad.”

@ShadeStar

"I did, but I wasn't as confident as I am now," Cicada nodded once as she smirked back. She gave him a little bump with her hip, "And you didn't have to do that."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"But I did. And I still think I have a shot at beating you. So don't get too confident, missy." Phoenix chuckled, glancing up at their surroundings. "Are we making this a competition? Like, is there gonna be a prize?"

@ShadeStar

"I still don't think you will. And we could make it a competition," Cicada shrugged a little as she thought for a moment. She hummed a bit before giving him a wicked smile, "Winner has to pay for dinner?

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Has to? I think you mean gets to." Phoenix laughed lightly, pulling her hand up to kiss the back of it. "But sure. It could always be worse than that. So I'll take it." He hummed a little, continuing on through the park.

@ShadeStar

Cicada laughed a little as she watched him. She leaned a little on him before pulling away again, "Yeah, that's why the winner gets to pay not the loser. Cause we always semi-argue over who pays anyway."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Alright, fine by me. We'll just have to make sure to stay in town for dinner tonight." He added with a light laugh, before loosening his hold on her hand. Though Phoenix didn't let go, still loosely linked together. "Any suggestions where we should go?"

@ShadeStar

"We could go to the pizza place you showed me that first night we went out?" Cicada offered tightening her hold on his hand. She had a light smile on as they walked, "It was pretty good and I haven't had the chance to go back.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Works for me. And it's not super expensive either." Phoenix hummed with a light smile. He doubted he would win this time, the last time had just been by chance. He knew he was less likely to this time. "And it's one of my favourite places to go."

@ShadeStar

"Great!" Cicada perked up looking at him. She swung their arms slightly just testing the waters a little bit, "So can't wait to pay for you."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"You could at least pretend I have a chance. I'm certainly doing so." Phoenix hummed a little, letting her swing their arms. "Can't you give me that much?" He joked softly as a smile pulled up.

@ShadeStar

"Fiiine," Cicada let out a little groan as she gave him a half smile. She hummed slightly, "I can pretend you have a chance. A .001% chance of beating me."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"If I move the decimal point over two places, I have a one percent chance of winning." Phoenix hummed a little, thinking quick on his feet. "Which, in the end, is all I need. It's like saying there's one in a million chance of that happening. Which tends to happen in the end."

@ShadeStar

"Yeah, but everything that happens is a one in a million chance. It just depends on which outcome we get," Cicada shrugged a little as she kept walking, "So while you winning may be a one in a million chance so is me winning. So is the doors locking us in. So is the scoreboard getting reset through a glitch. Etc."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"I actually have to disagree with that. A lot of things, are much closer than that. If it's a regular occurrence, then it's more like nine-hundred-ninety-nine thousand nine-hundred-ninety-nine, out of a million. But the chance of a different outcome is one in a million. At least- it makes the most sense to me." Phoenix hummed his response, seeming rather invested in this. "Such as becoming famous. That's a one in a million shot. Not becoming famous, is a lot more likely."

@ShadeStar

"Yeah, I guess it's just I'm thinking about it as a proper randomizer," Cicada responded just as actively invested. She hummed a little in thought, "Though I guess certain outcomes are more likely than others. For instance, us getting pizza is more likely since we've agreed on it already. But there's still a random chance we get tacos, highly unlikely though. Huh, I forgot about that stuff. I still stand that everything has a one in a million chance though."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"At some point in time, that is true. Considering it would be the first time it's happening, there's a one in a million chance. So with that fact, you are correct. Though once it's happened, it technically isn't one in a million anymore. It's more probable that it'll happen again." Phoenix added, seeing they were close to the end of the park. "And yes, I think about this type of stuff way too hard. There's a lot more where that came from."

@ShadeStar

"Well, let's hear it," Cicada gave him a big grin as she kept walking with him. She assumed he would take her to the laser tag place once out of the park. She hummed a little, "I'm curious as to what you think about random probability and probability."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Oh- I don't really… where should I start? And are you actually interested in this kind of stuff?" Phoenix asked her softly, glancing between her and the ground. He didn't want to bore her to death with this kind of stuff. Most people were annoyed as soon as he started talking. "You don't have to pretend, or lie to me."

@ShadeStar

"I mean yeah. For me programming probability simulators is one of the funnest things to do," Cicada explained giving him a soft smile over, "I'm not going to say what I mess around involving probability. But I really do enjoy it."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Now I'm worried. Should I be worried about that statement?" Phoenix asked lightly, giving her a furrowed brow. His smile was still up, though, and he didn't seem too incredibly serious over his worries. But he still had a few, wondering what she was doing with her free time.

@ShadeStar

“Noooooooooo,” Cicada dragged out the vowel as she glanced around. She was just messing with him a little bit, “Anyway tell me about your theories.”

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Well, I have on. It's called 'I think my girlfriend is up to something illegal, but she refuses to tell me'." Phoenix teased, smirking a little. It was weird to say, and weirder to hear him use the term girlfriend. But he didn't say anything about it. "Anyways, my theories? Um…" Trailing off, he tried to think of one on the spot.

@ShadeStar

"Oh I can confirm that theory is partially true," Cicada responded a light tease in her voice. She let out a little laugh, "But yeah tell me about your theories, boyfriend."

@ShadeStar

(Okay that’s fine! I can change my response if you want me to or we could just skip that part of the conversation.)
