"Mm, what do I smell like?" Phoenix asked her softly, resting his head against hers. He hummed to himself in a way of contentment, not much unlike purring. "Something good, I presume at least."

"Mmm cinnamon I think," Cicada responded after taking a deep breath. She let out a soft sigh melting against him a little with a slight purr, "What do I smell like?"

Phoenix smiled a little, curling back up. "Not sure exactly, but you smell sweet. I really like it." He admitted as he nuzzled his nose into her hair. "I think it's your shampoo."

"Probably strawberry," Cicada told him softly as she let him nuzzle her hair. It felt weird, but it was nice. This new… Thing was much different than her old… Thing. At least the start of it was a lot different.

"Mm, well you smell good." Phoenix hummed and pulled back a little. Glancing down at her, he kept a little smile up. "You're pretty and you smell nice. What a stroke of luck."

Cicada laughed as she looked up at him. She gave him a side smile before replying, “You’re adorable and you smell like cinnamon. I think I’m the one that got lucky here.”

Phoenix chuckled lightly, rubbing up and down her arm. "We both got lucky. How 'bout that?" He offered as he tilted his head back to look up at the ceiling. He was really tired all of a sudden, but didn't want to tell her that.

"Mmm I can agree to that," Cicada responded as she relaxed into his touch. It was soothing and now she was falling asleep despite not being too sleepy. She suppressed her yawn, "You getting tired?"

Glancing over to her, Phoenix nodded a little. "Yeah, but I don't mind talking to you. Though don't be surprised if I fall asleep while talking to you." He hummed a little, still gently rubbing her arm.

"If you keep rubbing my arm like that then I'll be the one falling asleep," Cicada mumbled to herself though he could probably her. She looked up at him with a light smile, "I don't mind talking to you either, and fall asleep whenever you like."

Phoenix smiled softly, resting his head against hers with a content sigh. "Do you want me to stop?" He asked lightly, waiting to here her response before stopping. "I can, if it's bugging you."

"No, keep going," Cicada murmured softly as she let her eyes close. She let out a soft sigh before opening her eyes again, "It feels… Really nice okay?"

"Alright, I was just asking." Phoenix hummed a little, leaning down to kiss the top of her head. After doing so he relaxed into her with a soft sigh. "Don't want to be bugging you."

"Wellll, you're not," Cicada told him letting herself relax with him. She felt her eyes close once more as she let out a sigh through her nose, "So don't worry about it okay?"

"Right… I won't worry about it…" Phoenix whispered, his petting starting to slow even more. He was nodding off rather quickly by this point. He had a feeling he wouldn't wake up for a while once he had fallen asleep, so he tried to enjoy this while he could.

Cicada let out a slight laugh as she nuzzled up against him. She looked up at him forcing her eyes open for but a moment to see him start to fall asleep. After a moment she let out a quiet sigh, "G'nap Phe."

Phoenix stirred to look down at her. When he processed her words, he smiled softly. "Mm… g'nap Cicada…" He mumbled back before curling up closer to her.

Cicada let out another laugh as she curled up against him. He was really warm and nice. Aaaand she may have fallen asleep soon enough. It really didn't take long for her eyes to shut.

Phoenix was quickly making his way to meet Cicada out in the green. He had a surprise for her, and had asked if they could meet up so he could talk to her. His grin was spread from ear to ear, which wasn't an unfamiliar sight after the past few days. Ever since him and Cicada had gotten together, he seemed a lot happier. Even his sister had noticed it, and seemed incredibly curious to know what was up. But he refused to tell her anything until he had made sure things were settled between him and Cicada.
'You almost here?' He texted her, bouncing on the balls of his feet once he had gotten there. Phoenix was barely able to stand still as he waited, looking around anxiously.

Cicada let out a little laugh as she left class seeing Phoenix's text. She didn't know why he was so excited to meet up today given they had been hanging out the past couple of days. But it was nice seeing him get all excited, even over text. She made her way to the green with a bright smile as she texted back, 'I'm on my way. Be there in a moment.'

'Awesome! See you in just a sec.' Phoenix replied, rather quickly after she responded. Even after a busy day, packed with homework that evening, he still seemed to be pretty chipper. With a bright smile on his face, he started to walk in circles to relax his nerves. With every step he tried to keep count, but his mind was too distracted.

Cicada made her way quickly to the green and resisted the urge to laugh again as she saw Phoenix walking in circles. She had a big smile on as she walked up to him while trying to be sneaky and staying out of his sight. She tapped his shoulder with a little laugh, "Hey there. Whatcha nervous about?"

Phoenix jumped a bit when he felt her tap his shoulder, whipping around. Though his smile pulled up when he saw her face. It only took a few seconds for him to wrap his arms around her. "I'm not nervous. Just super energetic at the current moment." He chirped a little, not letting her go quite yet.
