Asa let out a small sound of content when Ashera rubbed her. Ashera was good to her.
Ashera smiled softly at the sound and continued to pet the young halfling, lightly kissing her forehead. Asa deserved to be treated the same as everyone else did, regardless of whether or not she was half-human.
Asa smiled gently at the kiss, nwor letting go yet. She felt safe in Ashera's arms.
Ashera continued to hold and pet Asa. It felt like her friend needed it and her first customer shouldn't arrive until closer to noon.
Asa closed her eyes a moment, letting out a soft purr. Eventually, though, she pulled away with a grin.
"Thank you," she said again.
Ashera smiled at the purr. ”For what?” she asked. She didn't think she had done anything very special.
"For the hug. It… it really helped." Asa grinned a moment. She really did love it here.
”Oh. Well, you’re very welcome. Anytime you need one.” Ashera smiled warmly.
Asa nodded.
"Thank you! I'll be sure to keep that in mind!"
Ashera giggled a little and looked down at her nightgown. ”I should probably change soon.” she said off-handedly, remembering that it made some of her customers uncomfortable to see her like this.
Asa nodded.
"How… How soon do you think someone will come?"
”I’m not expecting anyone until after noon.” Ashera assured her. ”And I have a strict rule about knocking first, so I have to let them in.”
Asa let out a sigh of relief.
"Okay then," Asa said with a grin.
Ashera smiled back and looked at the young dragon. ”You know… if you ever need any new clothes, you can borrow some of mine.” she offered, since she figured Asa most likely didn't have any other clothes besides what she was wearing.
"O-oh," Asa said, smiling a little. She looked down at her old clothes, blushing a little.
"Okay then! T-thank you."
Ashera giggled a little at the blush. ”It’s no trouble. I know a simple shrinking charm if they’re a little big on you.” she said helpfully. ”Oh! I can take you shopping some time and buy clothes you like.”
"That'd… that'd be really nice…" Asa smiled, touched by the gesture. She really did love it here.
Ashera smiled brightly and kissed Asa’s cheek. ”It’ll be so much fun.” She didn't have many girlfriends to go shopping with and she doubted that Asa’s previous owners ever did anything like that with her.
Asa nodded, but her smile faded a little.
"How would it work? I can't go like this, and most places don't let in pets…" She didn't want to end up dead just because she reached too far, by getting too comfortable. By thinking she could have a normal life.
Ashera nodded slightly with a thoughtful hum. ”That’s true… I suppose we could just avoid the stores that aren't pet friendly…” she said, even though she didn't consider Asa as a pet. ”I don't think too many of those places would fall for me calling you my ”friend” instead of my ”pet”. Oh! I could borrow one of those service jackets for you.” she suggested.
"I… Okay then. That can work." She gave a small smile. Ashera was smart. She'd be able to figure out what to do. Asa closed her eyes a moment, then opened them.
Ashera smiled brightly, glad that Asa liked her plan. She knew that getting a real service vest for Asa was… complicated at best. A lot of paperwork and tests. So, she was just going to have to use some of her magic to make it convincing.
She glanced at the clock and almost sighed. ”We really should change soon.” she pointed out. ”There’s still some time but I would rather us both be ready before my customer arrives.”
Asa's smile grew at Ashera's. She gave the other woman a quick hug. She nodded a little.
"Alright then. Should we do it now?" She didn't want this to end. To have to go back to pretending, to not be who she was. But… There was no way around this. She still wanted to be by Ashera's side.
Ashera happily returned the hug, holding her dear friend close. ”We don't have to right this second.” she admitted. ”But if we're going to stall for a bit longer, let's go back to my room. None of my customers are ever allowed upstairs.” she explained, also disliking the idea of Asa having to hide.
Asa nodded.
"Okay," she said softly. She was glad there was a place she could be without anyone finding her, but still, there was no way she was going to be cooped up there all alone all the time.
"That sounds good to me."
”Alright.” Ashera smiled at her before picking her up and carrying her up the stairs. The blonde Fae had absolutely no intention of keeping Asa restricted to… anywhere in the house really. As far as she was considered the young woman had just as much free reign of the house as she did.
Asa purred softly, wrapping her legs around Ashera's waist as she was carried. She buried her face in Ashera's neck, grinning softly. It only took her a moment or two for her to change into her other form, so she would stall as much as possible.
She loved being carried. Hands down.
Ashera grinned as she heard Asa purring, holding her a little closer. Fortunately, she already had an outfit picked out for her workday, so she could afford to spend more time cuddling with Asa. ”You know you're absolutely adorable, right?” she said as she sat down on her bed.
Asa snuggled further into Ashera's arms, settling in her lap easily.
"I do my best," she said, blushing a little. She smiled up at Ashera. She spread out he wings a bit, relaxing. Her wins were a lot bigger now, in this form.
Ashera giggled a little at the answer. It was so cute! … But it also made sense. Being that adorable as a baby Dragon was probably a lifesaver for Asa, so she ”played it up”, so to speak. Ashera smiled sweetly back at her friend and, deciding to try something, reached for that little spot between Asa’s wings.
