She sighed with tear filled eyes

Evan took a hesitant step towards her, wanting to comfort her.

She walked over to him.anf wrapped her arms around his wait resting her cheek on his chest with a blank expression

Evan wrapped his arms around her gently. ”I’m so sorry, Betty.” he said softly.

" why is this happening did I do something wrong?" She asked tera's leaving her eyes

”No. You didn't do anything to deserve this. It's not your fault.” Evan assured her, holding her closer.

" I feel like a failure like everyone thinks I it's my fault like no one loves me" she whimpered

“That’s not true.” Evan insisted, gently stroking her hair. ”No one blames you for this.”

”And we all love you, Bets.” Henry piped up.

"It should've been me" she said

”Betty, you were in no condition to fight her. Mentally or physically.” Evan argued gently. ”You didn't know… didn't remember what you can do.”

Henry sighed. ”Pretty sure that wouldn't have stopped her if you told her.”

Betty looked up at Evan

Evan looked at her sincerely. ”It’s not your fault. And despite everything, I know that Lysander didn't mind fighting for you.”

" you all know when he dies I have to cut my ties with all of you" she said

”What? Why?” Henry asked in surprise. ”Bets, grieving alone is not a good idea. We're your family… Your real family. Not the kind you grew up with.”

" My family keeps dieing on me" she pointed out

”None of that is your fault.” Evan assured her. ”Sometimes it just happens.”

Henry let out a sound somewhere between a groan and a growl. ”I still can't believe this is happening. There's gotta be a way. I mean, Betty came back after I… after I was forced to stake her. There has to be something.”

Betty shook her head " I've tried everything there's nothing" she said

”What about your blood?” Henry asked. ”You said that it could turn a vampire back to being human. If he's not a vampire, the bite won't kill him… Right?”

She looked at him.

Tyler gasped, " he's right, but…" Tyler stopped talking

”But what? The only thing that I would think might happen afterward is Ly would probably turn into a werewolf but at least he’d still be alive.” Henry admitted.

" he'll be human … But he won't love her anymore" Tyler said

Henry shook his head. ”I have a hard time believing that.” he said gently. ”I get that he won't exactly be her Eternal anymore… but that's because as a human he won't have that kind of time.” he explained. ”Maybe we could turn him back into a vampire once we’re sure that the werewolf venom is no longer an issue…”

"It's going to take a while to do do you mind calling your parents?" She asked Evan

”I don't mind.” Evan shook his head. ”I’ll be right back.” he promised, heading to the kitchen to make the call.

Betty nodded " I need to get everything ready" she said

”What do you need?” Henry asked, willing to help out.

" needles bloodbags vervain and wolfsbane also a rag" she said

Henry nodded. ”I can get the needles and blood bags. There's rags in both the kitchen and bathrooms… Uhh, I don't know where to get wolfsbane but you said there was vervain in the lake, right?”

She nodded " Yeah I have wolfsbane too" she said

”Ok.” Henry nodded again, admittedly a little nervous. This was his idea so he was prepared to take responsibility for it… He took a calming breath and got to work gathering what was needed.
