Gabe slept peacefully throughout the night. Some time later, Martha came into the room, picking Matthew up and taking him to his own room.
Alex slept curled on the couch, shifting every now and again.
Gabe woke up in the morning, sitting up more. These nights on chairs hurt his back, but he was used to it with his job. It was better than nothing, after all. He looked over at Alex, sighing softly, tucking him in more securely before draping his own jacket over Alex.
Alex kept sleeping, not awakening when Gabe draped the jacket over him.
Gabe lightly patted Alex's head, then moved to make breakfast. Martha was up too, so Gabe helped her cook.
(not gonna be too active today, or most likely throughout the week, sorry)
Alex kept sleeping, though he did let out a faint sound when Gabe patted his head.
(okay then!)
Gabe glaced at Alex, smiling a bit. When the food was done, he carried a plate over for Alex.
"Hey," he said gently. "Good morning."
Alex blinked sleepily at Gabe, having only just woken up. "Good morning."
"Here, breakfast is ready." Gabe set the plate down, smiling softly at Alex.
Alex rubbed his eyes. "Oh. Thank you."
Gabe sat down on the chair, beginning to eat.
"You're welcome," he said with a smile.
Alex smiled back hesitantly, then started picking at the food.
Gabe ate quietly, glancing at Alex. He was glad Alex was attempting to eat more.
Alex was trying, even if he wasn't really succeeding.
Gabe finished his food, looking up at Alex. He could tell Alex was making an effort.
Alex kept picking at his food quietly.
Gabe moved over to the couch, sitting next to Alex.
Alex glanced up at him curiously.
"Did you sleep well?" Gabe asked.
He nodded a little. "Yeah. Did you?"
"It was okay." Gabe smiled softly.
He nodded again, stretching and eating a little more. "Alright."
Gabe stretched his arms, smiling slightly.
Alex looked over at Gabe for a moment, then down at his plate.
Gabe smiled softly.
Alex went back to picking at his food.
Gabe glanced at Alex.
"I'm thinking today I'm going to look into ways to get the ghost to leave you alone," he noted.
Alex looked up at him, wide eyed. "What? But…" he trailed off, unsure what he was even protesting to.
"What's wrong?" Gabe asked, looking over at Alex. He was a bit concerned now.
"I-I…" he shrugged a little bit. "Nothing, I just…"
