”I know it's not a wedding.” he sighed. ”I just meant that, as my wife, you'll get the final say in a lot of what happens.” he clarified, reaching up to fiddle with the dog tags when she mentioned them.

She smiled softly " I don't want you to be uncomfortable whatever you die in is what you stay in so I can take them now If you want" she said

He smiled lovingly back and kissed her forehead. ”Then, I would like to keep the ring you gave me for our wedding and I want you to keep my tags.” he told her. ”And the daylight ring you can do whatever you want with.”

She went to take the jewelry off him

He bent his head slightly to help her remove the tags. ”You know I still have some time left. I’m not going to die tonight.” he smiled a little at her.

She sniffled taking his Ring off

He gently took her hand in both of his. ”It’ll be alright, my love.” he promised.

She shook her head pulling her hands away

”What is it?” he asked softly, a little worried.

" I don't think you should keep your ring" she said

“Why not?” he wondered, glancing at the beautiful black band she had given him.

" Because I think you'll move on" she said

”What? As in find someone else?” he clarified, a little surprised by the idea.

She nodded

He shook his head and held her as close as he could without aggravating any of his injuries. ”I highly doubt that. In the whole time I've been ”alive”, I have never met anyone who can hold a candle to you. What makes you think that when I die, I’ll find anyone?”

" because after a while you forget about the people you once loved" she said

”I will never forget about you.” he promised. ”Or our kids.”

" I need you to move on it's the only way I'm going to heal" she said

He looked at her, a little sadly but nodded. He really didn't think he was ever going to find someone else that he would love as much as he loved her but if telling her this would help her after his death… ”Alright.” he whispered.

She nodded " Thank you" she said

”I love you.” he said, blinking back a couple of tears.

" I love you more" she said moving some of his hair off his forehead

He smiled lovingly at her and gently kissed her forehead.

She smiled sadly closing her eyes a single tear fell down her cheek

Lysander reflected her smile and gently brushed his thumb over her cheek, clearing away her tear.

Henry was pacing around the living room, trying to figure out any possible way to save the man whom he had spent centuries with as his brother.

She looked at him " you should rest I'm going to go talk to your brothers call if you need me" she said

”Alright.” Lysander nodded, smiling gently at her.

She nodded going downstairs and approaching Evan Tyler and Henry

Evan looked up as he heard Betty approaching and Henry stopped pacing long enough to turn and look at her.
