She stopped and looked at him she sat at the edge of the bed and put her hand on his cheek " I love you Lysander Castevau"

”I love you too, Elizabeth Rose.” he smiled softly, placing his hand on top of hers and leaning into the touch. ”More than anything.”

Her eyes welled up with tears " I'm going to take care of you I promise"

”In that case, I just might pull through.” he couldn't help but quip. He turned his head and kissed her palm. ”I’m sorry, that was in poor taste. But I completely trust you. I know you’ll take good care of me… even though I don't deserve it.”

She smiled looking down at her arm where blood had been drawn for lysander

He followed her gaze and looked at her pensively. ”Did you give me some of your blood?” he asked.

She nodded her head towards the blood pumping in the machine into his veins

He looked up at the machine and shook his head slightly. ”You really are an angel.”

She walked around on the other side of the bed and layed down careful not to get close

He smiled at her and gently wrapped his less injured arm around her, pulling her closer. ”My sides don't hurt.” he almost teased.

" I don't want you to leave me" she said tears rolling down her cheeks

”I’m don’t want to leave you either.” he promised her. ”I know what this bite is going to do to me but I’ll stay with you as long I can. I’m sorry that it won't be forever like I planned to.”

"After your gone I'll probably move back home" she said

”You won't live with Evan?” he asked, raising a brow slightly.

" Evans your brother a painful reminder of you" she said

He sighed, nodding a little. ”I understand. He still loves you though.”

" and I love him and you I just thought we'd make it a bit longer" she said

”So did I, darling. So did I.” he agreed. ”At least stay in touch with him… And Henry and Charles. That way I know you'll be safe.” he pleaded.

”Thank you for saying that.” he smiled. ”Most people believe vampires are inherently evil… Would it be too painful for me to be near you when… when that happens?” he asked hesitantly, wanting to be able to see her and the children.

"Like I said I won't see you " she said

”But I don't want to intrude or make you feel awkward if you don't want me here.” he pointed out kindly. ”You said I can still interact with people.”

"Yeah you can touch anything and I don't care if you come visit me" she said

”Then I would like to visit you and the kids.” he smiled. ”Maybe leave you little messages on sticky notes or something.”

She smiled softly " we'll have a funeral for you"

”I appreciate that.” he nodded. ”If you bury me, don't spend too much on the coffin. I don't need anything elaborate. Just a simple wood box.” he told her. ”Or I’m also fine with cremation… But we don't have to talk about this now if you don't want to.”

" I'll let your parents decide" she said

”Maman will want you to be involved, if you're up for it.” he pointed out.
