As she made her way over, a cat dashed in front of Whitehot, causing her to lose her balance as she tried to avoid stepping on it. She fell to the ground with a soft thud, then muttered, "Crap," under her breath.
I hope they didn't hear me, she thought, looking up at the group. She had managed to keep her "cloak" of light up around her, but they would still be suspicious of the noise.
Golden turned.
"Did you hear something?"
“No,” Teresa frowned. “I’ll check, just in case.” She shifted into a rattlesnake, for the heat sensors.
Whitehot froze as they started talking and one of them turned into a rattlesnake.
Ah, crap…
//no wait, she’s got her disguise up
sorry if that wasn’t clear
(Whoops! Sorry, she just doesn't have an alternate name, so it gets confusing.)
(I fixed it.)
//she does, I just forgot to use it xD sorry that one’s on me
The snake’s senses were instantly on high alert, it’s rattle rattling dangerously from all the people. She struggled to gain control of it for a minute or two, before finally managing to take the chance to use the sensors. Her head twisted towards Whitehot. Who’s that?
(Okay, my laptop had 11% left, and it's almost midnight here, so I should really go to bed… 'Night!)
//bye!
((Bye fren!))
Cyrus watched with narrowed eyes, his head also having jerked in the direction of the noise. Looks like I’m not the only one who was wanting to see what’s happening…
Hoping that they wouldn't notice her, Whitehot stayed as still as possible, still laying flat on the ground. She didn't dare move, hardly even dared to breathe.
Code Breaker shifted into her half cat half human form, "Is someone there?"
The snake slithered towards the figure slowly, confused. Who turns invisible…?
Nonononono! Not the snake! Gosh, I hate snakes!
Whitehot started breathing more heavily and stood up slowly. Hoping that it would distract them, she flicked her hand towards a light, 'causing it to flicker.
Something flickered and she turned her head slightly to see if it was another person, before turning back to face forward.
"Someone's there," Code Breaker breathed in.
Well, I can either let them find me, or I appear to them myself…
Whitehot stepped forward, unbending the light from around her.
"So, there's a meeting going on, I see. Care to tell me why heroes are meeting with a villain and a vigilante?" she asked suspiciously.
Code Breaker coughed, "Two villains."
Sagittarius shifted out. “I consider myself more of a vigilante as well.”
"Okay, I'm sorry. Heroes, villains, and vigilantes. Now, would anyone care to tell me what's going on?" Whitehot questioned, glaring at them all.
“We’re all staring down that asshole,” she gestured towards Duuvuri.
"Yep," Code Breaker nodded.
Whitehot turned her gaze to the man, then back to the group.
"For what?" she asked scoffingly. "He looks like a frightened puppy. But uglier."
"Tell me why I should tell you," Code Breaker glared down at Whitehot glaring.
"Hey, I'm just trying to do my job, okay? Just making sure that nobody is getting hurt and nothing illegal is happening," Whitehot said, playing with a flame that twisted around her hands.
"You realize there are other heroes here," Code Breaker placed a hand on her hip. Paralyzes dagger in hand, "You're just being overkill."
Whitehot shrugged. "What can I say? I'm a bit overprotective of my city."
