"Well what, Ellis?"

"Well we don't trust that you're not lying."

Lloyd flushed a bit and looked away. "W-What? Why would I be lying?"

"Because that's who you are. You hide that it hurts."

Lloyd fidgeted nervously, not quite sure what to say. "They use their best medicine on me… they should save it for people who need it more."

"Lloyd, you got shot and stabbed."

"Y-Yeah, but… I… I can handle it…"

"No, you can't."

Lloyd flushed a bit harder, unable to meet Ellis's eyes. "It's… it's not that bad…"

Ellis squinted at him. "Sure it isn't."

Lloyd looked up at Ellis weakly. "Medicine is expensive…"

Ellis looked at him. "You're the prince."

"So? That doesn't mean they should waste all the medicine on me… I can handle a little pain."

"That's not the point."

"Then what is the point?"

"I just…ugh."

Lloyd sighed softly. "You always tell me what I'm doing is wrong, but you never seem to be able to explain why it's wrong."

Ellis groaned. "I'm sorry, okay? Maybe I'm just not good at communicating."

"But I'm usually doing things for some sort of moral reason… or logical, mostly. It makes more sense to me to sacrifice myself for the sake of the people, for example."

"Lloyd, just…" He shook his head.

"I don't care that I'm the prince. I don't think we should place the value of one person over the values of many."

"Lloyd, you're more important. Why can't you see that?" He asked.

"Because it just feels wrong…" Lloyd sighed weakly.

"You…ugh." he shook his head a little bit.

"I know it seems stupid to you, but it feels wrong to me. I don't like people treating me like I'm better than everyone else…"

"Yeah, but you are." He replied, shaking his head.

Lloyd sighed softly. "It's just… everyone's so focused on treating me well that the general public gets ignored…"

"Well, maybe if you would… I don't know." He shook his head.

"If I would what?" Lloyd asked.
