"you said I was the first girl right so imagine you haven't went on a real date with someone you actually liked it's okay to be nervous I know I am" she said
"You- you are?" Dylan asked her softly, biting on his lower lip. "I- you don't look nervous to me."
"I can hide my nerves pretty well when I was growing up when the other kids saw that I was nervous that's what made them pick on me more when they saw my fear my insecurities that's when they picked on me so I hid it" she said
"Well, it's a nice skill to have." Dylan whispered, trying not to make memories resurface. He really didn't want her to have to remember bad things- it would be his fault. "I'm really sorry they picked on you."
"It's in the past" she said
"It doesn't change the fact that it happened, though." Dylan told her softly, trying to force up a smile. "But I'm gonna make sure it doesn't happen again."
"Your sweet Fitzpatrick" she said
"I'm also dead serious. I'm not going to let that happen anymore." Dylan insisted, smiling genuinely now.
She smiled" thank you Dylan" she said
"Of course." He told her. His smile was soft, and his nerves started to relax. 'Just don't think, and you'll be fine.'
"is it weird that I'm really excited for this date" she said
Dylan shook his head. "No, I mean, it is your first one. I just hope it builds to your expectations."
"I'm sure it will" she smiled
"I'm keeping my fingers crossed." Dylan sighed softly, still smiling.
She smiled crossing her legs she looked out the window
After a couple more minutes, Dylan pulled up to a nice place and let out a soft sigh. "Well, we're here."
She looked at him with a smile "Well shall we?"
"If you're ready, then of course." Dylan hummed, shutting off his car. Getting out, he quickly made a way to her door and pulled it open.
She smiled getting out of his car and smiling at him
Holding an arm out to her, he tried to keep from freaking out. She was stunning, and it was throwing him for a loop. "M'lady."
She giggled hooking her arm with his "Attractive and a gentleman man am I lucky" she said
Flushing, Dylan glanced down at his shoes as they walked. "I'm just trying to be polite… though, I don't see where the attractive is coming from."
She smiled "Everyone can see it Dylan especially me your attractive Fitzpatrick"
Sighing softly, he nodded. There was no use in arguing. "Well, thank you."
"Your welcome" she said proudly with a smile
Coming up to the reservations stand, he gave the lady a smile. "Reservation for Fitzpatrick." He told her, and the lady lit up. "Of course, right this way." She hummed, leading them towards the back.
She smiled at Dylan she was so excited she knew that this could end badly but she really liked him
As they sat down, he ran a finger down the menu and let out a soft breath. It was just dinner. Nothing could go wrong here. "What are you feeling tonight?"
"I honestly don't know I haven't had Italian since I was six" she said
"Well, we can always go simple and order a pizza to share if you want. But we don't have to." Dylan hummed, deciding just to get water. He couldn't get any alcohol, as he had to drive, so water was suitable.
