Tyler smiled squeezing his hand

Lysander sighed in worry at the sound and gently held her close.

Henry smiled a little more and returned the gesture.

Betty cried out in pain

" Betty" tyler whispered

Despite his initial knee-jerk reaction to let go immediately, Lysander gently put Betty back down but kept a hand on her. ”I’m so sorry. I didn't mean… I didn't hurt you, did I?” he asked worriedly.

Henry looked at Tyler in surprise. ”What? Is everything alright?”

Betty nodded

"She's in pain" Tyler said

Lysander looked very ashamed of himself at the confirmation. ”I am so very sorry, my love. I didn't intend to hurt you.” he apologized sincerely. ”Especially now… That's the last thing you need.” he sighed.

”Worse than earlier?” Henry clarified softly.

Tyler nodded " yeah"

”Crap…” Henry sighed under his breath as he lightly ran his thumb over her knuckles. ”I-It’ll be ok, Tyler. Once we find her crystal, she'll be alright. I mean, she still has to heal… but she’ll be alright.”

" I'm going to fucking kill kameron" Tyler muttered

While both vampires heard Tyler's angry mutter, Evan was the only one who winced slightly but didn't say anything against it. Honestly, him and Kam hadn't been particularly close friends before, but some part of him was still almost hoping that this whole thing was just a misunderstanding. But he didn't think it really was. The scars on Betty looked too deliberate.

She let go of Henry's hand crossing her arms

Henry rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. ”You saw that?” he asked softly and a little embarrassed. He was mostly still standing behind her when he made that expression.

" she's going to kill her" she said

”I know.” Henry nodded. ”At least she’ll try to.” he pointed out since he knew that him, Ly, and Evan wouldn't let Kam.

Tyler held her hand over her stomach" damn I should have stayed with Betty"

”Want me to fly you back?” Henry asked. ”I can catch back up to Evan pretty quickly.”

She shook her head " I'll be fine" she said

”If you’re sure.” Henry nodded. ”I just don't want you or the baby to get hurt.”

" I'll be fine" she said

”Alright, babe.” Henry sighed. ”Hey, Evan? How much longer do you think we have to go?”

”The scent is getting stronger. We should be pretty close.” Evan informed them.

Tyler nodded sighing softly

Henry gently reached for Tyler's hand again. ”When we get home after all this… There’s a lot I think I should tell you about my past. It's not bad, just stuff I think you should know.” he said softly.

" I might already know" she said

”Depends on what Betty told you, cause there are some details I left out of what I want to tell you when I told her.” Henry explained, trying not to get tongue-tied with that sentence.

"Betty had a vision" she said

“Of course she did.” Henry sighed good-naturedly, shaking his head with a soft chuckle. ”What was it about?”

" well I know she ran out on you and our wedding is going to be hellish" she said

Henry almost froze on the spot, his eyes widening. ”Uhhh… Could… Could you be a little more specific please?” he asked, raising a brow. ”Who… Who did she tell you ran out on me and how is our wedding going to be hellish?”

'" how would you feel if Betty didn't make it to our wedding'' she asked

His brow raised again, nearly disappearing in his shaggy bangs. ”Depends on the reason. I would like her to be there, and I’m sure you would too, but… If it's something very important or a life or death situation, I can understand that.” he answered almost rambling a little towards the end.
