Shaking his head, he sighed softly in content. "I'm happy just being here. We can go get coffee later," Phoenix hummed softly, resting his chin on his palm. "I'm actually not that tired right now, so give me about five minutes and I'll change my mind." He joked, chuckling lightly.

@ShadeStar

Cicada laughed a little as she mirrored his position. She had a soft smile on, “Sounds good. Let me know when you do get tired. So, uh, anything you want to talk about?”

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

'That I think I might be in love with you…' He knew he couldn't say it out loud, but that's what he really wanted to talk about. Just trying to sort his feelings out. But she wouldn't feel very comfortable with that, now would she? "Not particularly. Just life in general, I guess."

@ShadeStar

“Okay, how have your classes been?” Cicada asked him as she let out a mental sigh of relief. She was worried he was going to ask her about why she had been avoiding him since her earlier ‘confession’ had been so vague. She wasn’t ready to tell him the truth.

"Alright… busy, tiring. But fine, I guess." Phoenix hummed softly, glancing up at the sky. "What about you? How have your classes been?" He asked softly, relaxing his shoulders, and dropping his arms to his sides.

@ShadeStar

"They've been busy as well," Cicada nodded along a little. She finally allowed her body to relax as she leaned onto the table with a soft smile looking up to Phoenix, "Seems like the semester is in full swing now."

@ShadeStar

"Oh yeah, being a freshie is hard," Cicada responded with a little laugh as she kept looking up at him. She hoped she could cheer him back soon enough, "Second year is easier and then by third year you own the place. Unless you transfer, then you're a freshie with knowledge."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

“That is very true. But by the end of this year, I’m sure you’ll be ruler supreme over this joint.” Phoenix joked, laughing lightly. “All of them are too weak to rule. Seniors aren’t going to let just anyone join them in ruling the campus.”

@ShadeStar

"It's not there going to let me," Cicada said letting her voice swing a little with her words. She had a smile on as she kept speaking, "It's more like they can't do anything about it other than accept their new place."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

(Apologies for not responding sooner… I got stuck at a mental block.)

Phoenix smiled softly, nodding a little bit. "That is also true." He hummed, tracing circles into his arm with his thumb. "Guess you know better than me."

@ShadeStar

(That's fine)

"I mean, I really don't," Cicada responded with a slight laugh as she watched him. She kept smiling over at him, "I had to transfer junior year and had finally found some footing sophomore year in the social standings."

@ShadeStar

"I guess I will," Cicada smiled over at him. She stopped directly looking at him worried she was going to make him uncomfortable. Her bangs in front of her face as she moved quickly, "But I don't think your really up to climbing the social ladder."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Oh, for sure. I'm not really the social type. But getting to know would be nice." Phoenix hummed, smiling a little bit. "Just so I'm not excluded in case I ever get super social and extroverted." He hummed, glancing back over to her.

@ShadeStar

"From experience, that doesn't tend to happen," Cicada smiled but shrugged little anyway, "But I can tell you some stuff anyway. So the basics are grade-based and the more nuanced stuff is clique based. A freshman jock is only slightly more popular overall than a sophomore nerd."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Ahh, so I see I'm less popular than a Freshman. I have a feeling I practically didn't exist as a Freshman nerd?" Phoenix asked in a joking manner, resting his chin on his palm. "Because you know I was probably the nerdiest, awkward freshman last year."

@ShadeStar

"Oh definitely," Cicada nodded with a little laugh. She kept an eye on him making sure her words didn't make him feel bad, "Buuut I think a senior nerd has more sway over a freshman jock. Just because they're a senior."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Right, that makes sense." Phoenix hummed, leaning back into his seat with a soft sigh. "That'll be nice… but not. You know, cause I'll probably be hiding away from everyone." He shrugged, talking more to himself than her.

@ShadeStar

"Yeah, I'll have graduated by then," Cicada let out a little sigh. She hummed for a moment, "I could always get an apartment in town and stick around for your senior year? If I've got nothing better to do that is."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Phoenix smirked a little, leaning over a little closer to her. "You think you might have a life outside of me?" He teased, gently pushing on her arm. He didn't want to scare or hurt her, so he was careful. "Well now I'm hurt."

@ShadeStar

Cicada let out a little laugh and pushed him back lightly. She was doing it in a teasing manner, "I have a life outside of you. But it's a bad one, so I think I'll stick around until you graduate as well."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Well that gives me hope." Phoenix hummed, smiling as he relaxed back in his seat. He finally felt relaxed, happy to sit and chat with her. "Maybe you'll stick around a little longer, afterwards."

@ShadeStar

"Maybe," Cicada responded with a smile and relaxed with a smile. He seemed to be happy and that's all she cared about at the moment, "Who knows really? I've still got what? Two years to decide."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"That's about right. Though if you decide to leave me, I'd quite enjoy for you to keep in touch." Phoenix told her, looking over at her with a soft smile. "I really like getting to see you. As long as that doesn't change, though I doubt it will, I'd like to continue seeing you."

@ShadeStar

"Oh yeah definitely," Cicada responded her smile growing a little. She had made an actual friend, like one that wanted to talk after college. She hummed a little, "I would love to do that as long as nothing changes that is."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

The vocal reassurance gave him relief. Leaning back, he sighed softly. "That's good. I honestly would be kind of depressed if you had said no." Phoenix hummed, running a hand through his hair.

@ShadeStar

"Awww you would have gotten sad if I said no?" Cicada asked in a slightly teasing manner. Although she knew that if the situation had been reversed she would be sad if he had said no, "Don't worry. I won't abandon you… Again."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Glancing over at her, he sighed softly. "Seriously, it's fine. I'm alright, it wasn't the biggest deal in the world." Phoenix told her, trying to keep the soft blush off of his face. "But yeah, I would have been."

@ShadeStar

"I, uh, I'm glad," Cicada smiled at him spotting the slight blush on his cheek. She tried not to let it get to her head and hummed a little before responding, "I'm sorry again by the way."
