"Mm… sounds like a good plan. If I had the money, I'd just books us a room at a hotel for the night." He laughed lightly, letting her pull him along. "But then again, I dunno how comfortable we'd be with that."

"Um," Cicada felt her cheeks go alight as she blushed again. She took a deep breath and let her cheeks turn to normal, but they kept a pinky tone, "Not at the moment no. Either way I would offer to pay for the hotel room, but anyway let's go back to campus."

The idea seemed to have set her off, so he knew he shouldn't bring it up again. "Yeah, let's do that." Phoenix hummed, unlocking his car so they could both get in. "After you, m'lady."

Cicada stepped in smiling at him. She grabbed the bear and pulled it onto her lap while she sat down, "Why thank you."

Smiling softly at her, he shut her door before walking around to his own. Ducking in, he started it with a light hum. "Homeward we go. Can you pull up the directions just in case I start veering off course?"

"Of course," Cicada nodded and pulled out her phone pulling up directions back to campus. She crossed her legs and let the bear sit between them, "Let's go!"

"Let's- first get gas." Phoenix said, catching sight of the almost empty tank. "I'd prefer not to get stranded, is there any stations close by?" He asked her, leaning over to read the map on her phone.

"Um, yes," Cicada nodded as she looked at her map. She let out a little laugh and pointed to where one was nearby, "I don't think either of us want to get stranded."

"Especially out here, so far away." Phoenix smiled, pulling out of the parking lot, and driving off. "Let me know if we're getting close." He hummed, turning the radio up a little bit as he drove down the eerily dark road.

Cicada hummed a little and pointed as they approached a gas station fairly quickly, "There. Also, an hour isn't so far away is it? It's like a day trip or something like that."

"But that's a lot of walking, especially if we have to push a car the whole time." Phoenix hummed with a light smile, turning in to the station. "I don't really want some random guy towing my car away."

"Aww are you attached to your car or something like that?" Cicada cooed with a slight laugh. She was joking with him ever so slightly, "Hey do you want me to pay for gas? Since I'm partially the reason we're all the way out here."

"Nah, it's all good. I'm the one who picked it out, you just offered to direct me." Phoenix hummed with a soft smile. "And as a matter of fact, I'm incredibly attached to this car. I spent three years working my butt off to get it."

Cicada giggled a little her had going up to her face. She quickly cleared her throat and try to pretend that it didn't just happen, "Ah, okay. So I get why you wouldn't want another man to be touching your car."

Phoenix couldn't help himself from flushing a bit, think she was cute. I mean, it was strange, yes, but it was still adorable. Which didn't quite fit her character, but he didn't mind it. "Mhmm. Now, I'm gonna go fill 'er up."

Cicada nodded a little as she tried to return to her old self. How she usually acted at least, she was being too cutesy and all of that. She didn't want to be cutesy, but it just sort of happened.

Sliding out, he left his door open as he started to pump the gas. "Did you still wanna talk on the way back home?" Phoenix asked her, picking up his voice so she could hear over the hum.

"I, not now," Cicada told him with a soft smile but she made sure she was loud enough to be heard. She was trying to go back to confident, "But thanks for being willing to listen."

Nodding softly, he paid the machine and put the gas pump back. He wasn't going to tell her, but it was killing him not to know. "Sure thing, Cicada." He hummed, getting in once everything was all set.

Cicada gave him a little smile. She squeezed the bear a little and looked over at him, "I'll tell you eventually. Promise."

"You don't have to, but if you feel like you should, I won't stop you." He hummed, still smiling softly. Glancing over at her, he pulled out and drove off.

"I mean, I probably should at some point," Cicada responded with a little laugh. She leaned back in the seat, "Hell, I'll probably tell you when we get wasted."

"I'm assuming by accident, of course?" Phoenix hummed with a little smirk. He didn't know what she was thinking, not even having a clue. But whatever it was, it was personal. She was on the fence about it. "You wouldn't tell me on purpose, would you?"

"Oh who knows?" Cicada smirked a little as she replied. She was messing with the bear just slightly as she kept speaking, "You'll just have to find out. Either way is it bad I'm getting really excited about just spending a night and getting drunk off our asses?"

"Oh probably, but as long as you're happy." Phoenix hummed with a light smile. He was relaxed, but fully aware of his surroundings. Forcing himself not to nod off as they drove. "You are happy, right?"

"Definitely," Cicada nodded as her smile grew. She hummed a little as she leaned back in her seat, "Soooo anything you looking forward to?"

Phoenix paused, furrowing his brow in confusion. "Looking forward to? What do you mean?" He asked, glancing down the road. He wasn't lost, just trying to figure out where he was headed. Or that's what he told himself.

"Keep going straight," Cicada told him figuring part of that look was because he may possibly need direction. Just part of it, "And I mean are excited about any event coming up? Like in your life."

"Oh… not really, at the moment. I don't really have anything to look forward to. You coming along and our daily plans have been the best part so far." Phoenix admitted, taking her directions and relaxing. "I never really had anything special."

"Awwww," Cicada cooed a little as she looked over at him, "That's both really cute and really really sad. I'm glad we do our daily stupid shit too."
