Swiftstar hissed and kicked Scorchfeather in the face and bit down on Rainfrost's shoulder. The tom howled and pulled away, before joining another warrior in fighting Stormcloud. "You doing okay?" She called to Springheart.

Springheart jumped back, away from the pale she-cat. "I could be doing better!" she called, hissing at the apprentice that tried to run up on her.

Swiftstar rammed into Scorchfeather and knocked her backward. "Do you need help or can you give me a moment?"

The apprentice's grey pelt bristled and she jumped at Springheart, clawing at her ears. She hissed before leaping away with her tail lashing.

`Springheart unsheathed her claws, swiping at the apprentices muzzle, jumping back she knew she had to act fast. Springheart ducked down, watching as the apprentices ran at Springheart. Springheart pelted towards the apprentice. the apprentice's pelt bristled as she looked up at Springheart, "say hi to your medicine cat for me!" the queen mewed, landing on the apprentices back. knocking the apprentice down, in a quick swift move the tan she-cat landed on the opposite side and clawed at the apprentices back.

The apprentice yowled in pain, and struggled to get away. "Duskpaw!" A voice cried, as a dusky brown she-cat hauled Springheart off of the apprentice. "Dustcloud!" Duskpaw scrambled to her paws and stared at the warrior. "Go on." Dustcloud mewed. "I've got this." She turned to Springheart as the apprentice ran off towards the other fighting cats. "I don't want to fight you." She said, staring at the queen. "You said you're just looking for some kits. Rainfrost shouldn't have attacked you." Dustcloud tilted her head. "I'll help you find them, but you have to help me stop this battle."

Springheart blinked, "o-of course!" Springheart blinked, "I want to stop this unnecessary border skirmish…" she looked over on the fighting, she noticed that Rainfrost was clawing at Stormcloud as if StarClan was fading away by the second.

Springheart blinked, looking over at Dustcloud, "what will we do to stop it?" she mewed.

Swiftstar tore away from Scorchfeather and slammed into Rainfrost, knocking him off her deputy and they both rolled several fox lengths before coming to a stop. Swiftstar was slightly slower standing up and Rainfrost leaped over onto her back and sank his teeth into her neck.

Springheart watched in fear as Rainfrost dug his long teeth into her leaders neck. She saw as Swiftstar's different colored eyes went wide as she looked over at Springheart, "S-swiftstar!" The queen mewed as she began to tremble. Swiftstar gave a weak smile, Rainfrost pulled away, blood dripping from his maw, "weak" he mewed.

Swiftstar's eyes flickered closed and she fell limp, her tail flopped onto the ground.

Rainfrost backed away staring down at the WindClan leader, his lips curled into a smirk. "What life was this? her 6th? 4th?" Rainfrost looked over at Springheart, "what are you to her? a friend? or maybe even a ma–" "Rainfrost, when we get back to camp, you'll be reporting to Whitestar." Rainfrost blinked, surprised. "But I-" Scorchfeather hissed, "you did what? killed a leader?" "your making it seem more worse than it is!" Springheart bristled, "You have no business knowing about my life you scum." Rainfrost's smirk grew darker, "you wanna fight? yours just a weak WindClan queen, your nothing compared to me!" Springheart felt Dustcloud look in her direction, "Scorchfeather, we should leave, next time, control your mate to behave as a warrior would, not like a kit that grew up with a badger." Scorchfeather nodded, walking over towards Rainfrost and clawing at his face, "your such a fox-heart, Rainfrost! give me one reason I shouldn't report you to my uncle and drop you as my mate." Rainfrost stiffened as he looked down at his paws, walking with the ThunderClan patrol as it passed Springheart, Springheart didn't even bat an eyes towards Rainfrost.

A few more moments passed, the others in the WindClan patrol gathered to help each other with their wounds. And it was still a few moments more before Swiftstar's eyes opened again. She immediately pushed her body off the ground, gasping for air and then collapsing again coughing. She lay there, breathing heavy, then in a shakey, quiet voice she said, "Springheart?"

Springheart gasped and ran over, "Dear StarClan! Swiftstar! your scared me!" Springheart scanned the leader, she put a gentle paw on the leaders neck, "your bleeding from the neck, we need to get you back to camp, you just lost a life…" she softened her violet gaze, "I thought I lost you…."

"Hey." Swiftstar said, still not quite awake, "It's only my second, I have seven left." Using Springheart to stand, she pressed her head under the queen's chin. "You did good."

Springheart purred, "thanks," she paused, "Rainfrost asked if we're mates…Scorchfeather got to him before I ever could though…"

Swiftstar's eyes darted down, and she shuffled nervously. "Are we?" She said, quietly, nervous for Springheart's response.

Springheart blinked clearly surprised, "we weren't?" she asked, giving an amused purr. "I mean, if you want, im fine with that, I've always liked you since apprenticeship…" she gave a shy smile.

"Since apprenticeship? Try kithood." Swiftstar purred teasingly. "I'd like that." She pressed her nose to Springhearts cheek.

Shadowclaw gulped. He could've help but no. He was frozen in fear. He looked at the other cats and sighed. "Well then…"

Springheart smiled, her heart began to race and her paws felt as light as clouds. she curled her tail over her back, "come on, I want you to get treated right away, I only have a scratched ear but its nothing!" she mewed, worry edged her mew again.
