Well, people dying I guess. I'm not sure how to answer that question.

Zephyr stared at his post. What a pathetic response, people dying. But what else could he say?

Melanie studied the words, not entirely sure how to respond.

…any people in particular?

She winced. That had sounded pretty callous, in retrospect.

Zephyr gulped, looking at his screen. Should he tell them? They seemed to be thinking clearly now, unlike before.

My mother.

He thought about it for a bit, then typed another response.

And Megan.

Melanie read the replies and decided to try and make up for her previous behavior.

I'm really sorry, that's horrible. Who's Megan? Or do you not want to talk about it? I understand if you don't.

Hm. They must think it was very tragic or something, he leaned back and thought about what to say. Who was Megan even? Friend? Teammate? Both he supposed.

She was one of my friends.

He wasn't contributing much to the conversation was he? They must think he was being grumpy. He was, but they didn't need to know that. So he wrote something else.

What about you guys? Any thing you want to say?

Melanie really wasn't sure what to say, but she figured this was good practice for when she had real friends one day and needed to comfort them.

Zephyr heard the message, and was going to ignore it, but Ferrin opened up the laptop and made him sit down.

I'm fine. I have no deep seated issues, I have no past trauma, I'm not dying, I'm doing okay. Ferrin is the one who needs help. But when I talk to you he seems happy, so I'm talking to you. I'm fine.

He looked at Ferrin, who smiled back. "What'd they say?"
"Depressed stuff."

Melanie was getting a weird vibe from this new person, but told herself not to judge. Sure, what they said wasn't adding up, but she knew that if she'd just lost some loved ones, she probably wouldn't be acting very normal either.

Well I'm glad you're doing basically okay right now, but if you're ever not doing okay, I guess this thread is here to listen. I'm not the original creator but I think I can say we're here for you, aright?

Elara had fallen asleep out of pure exhaustion at her laptop once again. Awaking to see that was the case, she groaned, getting up to grab a.cup of coffee before, heading back to check the thread.

ahhh, sorry i mustve fallen asleep at my computer, i do that quite frequently. its just one of the perks of being exhausted all the time ahahah

Weird question but do any of you have any knowledge about how to help injured people? Asking for a friend.

Well there was an explosion and all, now she only has one eye…. it bleeds sometimes, her missing eye I mean. Is that something I need to worry about?

He knew it most certainly was something he needed to worry about, but he still asked.

2 months ago, its actually gotten a lot better, she was blind in both eyes for a little while.

I have a feeling that if it randomly starts bleeding sometimes, that can't be a good sign. Does it seem infected?

Melanie was no medical expert, but she'd read a book or two on the topic and felt confident enough to at least make suggestions.

No? I'm pretty sure Columbine would do something if it were infected. It just hasn't healed yet. We have a healer, but she's gone for a little while.

Hmm…I don't know, then…..I hope it's nothing too serious….
2 months does seem like along time for something to keep bleeding like that, but then again I'm not a doctor.

It might be fine if she would stop moving, but no one can keep her from dancing.

Zephyr was about to say something else before he realized he was sharing to much. He hadn't even told these people his real name, but he was talking about Wisp's condition, without asking her. What kind of double standard was that? He didn't know what else to say, so he tried changing the subject.

But that's not why I'm depressed.

It sounded weird, but maybe they'd see he was trying not to talk about Wisp's injury. Probably not. He wasn't good with words.

Melanie furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

Melanie could sense the dishonesty practically dripping off this new person, and thought about calling them out. But in truth, she just didn't have the energy. So she decided to play along.

I guess that's fair.
I hope your friend's girlfriend's eye stops bleeding soon. And whether you're depressed or not, I hope you're not. It kind of sucks.

He read the post 3 times. They seemed a little tired of his whole charade. Should he even respond?

Melanie didn't blame them for changing the subject, honestly.

I always liked cats :) Dogs and horses are cool, but they're too big and loud and messy for me personally.

My mom owned a pet cat, it was the ugliest thing. His face looked like he ran into a wall, and he never let me pet him. I have a scar on my hand where he bit me. Mean little sprite. My dad got rid of him after he tore up a painting, it was a family portrait, I was the only one he clawed. I'm telling you that cat hated me.

That's why I favor reindeer
