"Maybe… I'm not sure. A strong pup like him, I don't really like my chances. A runt would be a different story." Lloyd sighed.
"Maybe… I'm not sure. A strong pup like him, I don't really like my chances. A runt would be a different story." Lloyd sighed.
He shrugged slightly. "As long as you have plenty of energy to train him with, he would be fine." he replied, still petting the adorable little thing.
"I just mean that… they'll want to keep him as a guard dog. He's strong, and eager. They'd be more willing to let me keep a runt since it wouldn't make as good of a guard."
"Oh, right." he replied, looking down at the puppy for a moment. "Still." he shrugged again.
Lloyd shrugged. "Who knows? They might let me. I'd love to personally train this little guy."
He nodded. "Can I help? Maybe?" He asked, looking up at Lloyd curiously.
"If they let me, sure. I can show you the ropes of dog training." Lloyd smiled gently.
Ellis grinned happily. "Thank you!!" he said, looking up at Lloyd.
"No problem, Ellis. Really you just need to know how to discipline a dog and reward them properly… all the dogs here are highly trained by professionals, of course."
(Gtg soon sorry)
He nodded slightly. "Right. I helped my mama train my dog, but I was pretty little, so she did most of the work. I just fed him treats."
(Np)
Lloyd nodded. "The training here is… different. The dogs need to be trained to not be afraid. They're guards, after all. Soldiers, sometimes."
He nodded a little at the description. "Mm. Yeah, that makes sense." he replied, looking up at Ellis and stroking the puppy.
Lloyd sighed and scratched behind the puppy's ears again. "It's rigorous training. If this one became more of a pet, though, the training wouldn't be quite as extensive."
"Right, of course." he replied with another nod.
Lloyd nodded in reply and sat back down beside the cot. "I'm usually a part of training the dogs, but sometimes I'm busy."
"Well yeah, you're the prince."
"I am indeed…" Lloyd sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "I'll have to ask about the puppy, though."
"Alright." he replied with a grin.
"I'll probably do that when I take him back to the others…"
He sighed. "Does he have to go?"
"At some point, yes. He'll get hungry." Lloyd smiled softly.
He sighed again, snuggling the little puppy gently.
"But he can stay for a few more minutes. Don't worry."
He nodded, still petting the little thing, which was cuddled up to his chest.
The puppy yawned again and stretched his tiny paws out in front of himself before curling up to be more comfortable.
He smiled softly at the pup's behavior.
Lloyd watched the two with a gentle smile. "I'll probably take him back in about ten minutes if that's okay with you."
He sighed. "I guess." he replied, still petting him.
Lloyd laughed softly. "I can try and bring him back again after he eats."
He smiled over at the prince. "Okay!"
