Jackson read the message quickly and his eye instinctively started twitching. A demon's anger was not something you wanted to be on the receiving end of. "If he doesn't cut this out, I'm not going to be able to be held accountable for my actions."
Logan deleted the message completely and stood from the bed, going around the house and shutting ever curtain and double checking the locks on the doors. He went back to his bedroom and snuggled in the heets, pressing up close to Jackson and hiding his face in the crook of his neck
"Hey, it's okay love." His voice was soft and comforting, wrapping him up in his arms. "I won't let him hurt you anymore. I'll keep you safe, I promise."
He whimpered softly and pressed closer "It's not okay, he'll keep going until he gets what he wants. Even if you are here, he'll just take that as a challenge."
"Sweetheart, getting past me is not an easy thing to do. I've got enough ways to keep him at bay. Or just straight up kill him if he's really going to be a problem."
"That would work, though I doubt any of his little friends would allow you to walk around freely without consequence. He has close ties with the local police so killing him might not be the best idea." he sighed softly and nudged his head "thank you though."
"Not if they never figure out that he's gone. I can make his sudden "disappearance" a cold case to go down in history if that'll solve this."
He shook his head "As much as that would help, I don't think I could live with knowing that you killed just to keep me safe."
"Love, I'd do anything for you. I'll do whatever I have to in order to keep you safe and happy."
"yes but I don't need than on my conscious, knowing that you killed a person for my sake?" he sat up "no, I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that you've killed just to keep me safe."
He chewed on his lip, feeling slightly guilty. "I just want you to be safe, I'm sorry." He shrank into himself a little, his shy and guarded personality starting to creep into view.
He looked over at him, his features softening. He reached over and gently cupped his cheek "no my love, please don't be sorry. I should have never approached him in the first place, then none of this would have ever happened. I know you're trying to protect me." he sighed softly and hugged Jackson to his chest, gently stroking his hair
He stayed quiet, snuggling into his chest and burying his face in the crook of his neck so he wouldn't have to look him in the eye. Whenever Jackson felt upset or guilty, he would shrink into himself and become shy and guarded to protect his already fragile self.
Logan combed through Jackson’s hair “I am safe and happy darlin’. Especially when I’m with you. And I know that your intentions are to ensure that. But I don’t think killing him is the right course of action at the moment.” He glanced down at Jackson and pressed a kiss to his head “I love you. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you if you do choose to kill him. Now I understand the whole demon thing and all but still, I don’t want you to do that to yourself.”
"What if I didn't do it myself? I can pull a few strings, got a few reapers that owe me favors. I can make this totally someone else's fault. I just don't want to do something that makes you upset."
Logan shook his head, still unsure about the whole situation “I don’t think I could have it in me to say yes to killing someone I used to love, despite what they’ve done to me.”
"Fine then. I'll leave it be for now but if he dares to hurt you again, I might not be so forgiving."
He sighed in relief “thank you dear.” He kissed his head and pulled away gently to look at him
"I want you to be safe and happy, yes, but I'm also going to do what I have to so I can protect you, my love."
“I know dearest one, I know.” He kissed his head and nudged him gently “and I’m grateful for that but I want you safe as well. Around him, no ones safe.”
"Logan, no matter what happens, I'll be fine. It's you that I'm worried about because you getting hurt can have serious consequences."
He stayed quiet for a moment, unsure how to respond. He wasn't used to people protecting him, save for when Raz came into his life. He hated that he felt like he had shield himself away from everyone, including those he loved most but he had promised himself he wouldn't let anyone go through the pain his ex had inflicted on him. "I'm safe with you love. I won't get hurt."
"I certainly hope not." He kissed his cheek before nuzzling his face back into his chest. He just wanted his love to be safe, no matter what. He would be heartbroken if something happened to him.
(now I'm tempted to hurt him….)
Logan smiled faintly and hugged Jackson close "aw, you're so cute when you're all protective." he laughed softly, kissed his head, and gently petted his hair.

A soft purr escaped him. "I just want you to be okay. Knowing that you got hurt because of my own error would kill me."

"It would never be your fault my darling." he kissed his head gently and smiled at the purr. "I'm okay. I promise."
"You're okay for now. It's my job to make sure you're always okay." He hugged him tighter.
He buried his face in jackson's hair and sighed softly "I'm always okay when around you, save for when I don't have coffee. Then I raise hell untilI get some. Speaking of I might need one soon."
"You're not going back there. It's not safe. If he knows you frequent there, then he'll show up there more often and I'm not having that."
He pouted softly but he knew Jackson was right. He would deal without coffee for now, especially if it meant he didn't have to see his ex again. "Fine. Can we make more hot chocolate then? it's not as good as coffee but it's a good replacement."
