As the Starclan cats faded, a new sense faded in. A grassy valley with scattered trees, clear bright blue sky's with geese flying over head, and a steam cutting the valley in to two. Out in the distance Finchsong could see tall gray snow caped mountains that outlined the whole horizon.
Racing through the soft grass she stopped on top of one of the hills and scanned the valley but there was nothing, no one or animal. There came a shuffling down from down bellow, and what came out was unexpected, a cat.. No two, three, four cats. Even though she was right besides them, their pelts changed colors each time they moved. "Does Starclan really not want me to know the identity of these cats?" Finchsong muttered, looking at a calico cat then turned into a gray tabby. "Odd and disturbing."
(I was thinking the four cats can be cats from the tribes)
(So she needs to go to the mountains?)
One of the cats stepped closer. Its eyes were white and glowing, and its voice was smooth and mysterious. "The four whom you've never met are waiting. They know your name. They know your purpose. Visit the place in which your meeting place of old resides. They are waiting." With that, the four cats faded into nothingness. (Basically, she needs to go to the mountains where the Moonstone is so she can get more info from the four mountain tribe leaders)
(Interesting!!! please wake her up so she can talk to he Bf)
(Lmao okay)
Finchsong opened her eyes and jumped up with a start, seeing Oakleaf (that's his new name that he got at some point while she was having her vision) with Silverbrook's body.
"I kept what over her while you were out." Oakleaf said, sadly glancing down at Silverbrook, "My mentor could not make it so Heatherleaf did my ceremony while Hawkflight went to Riverclan to get your leader… He has not arrived yet."
"Alright…" Finchsong touched noses with Silverbrook sorrowfully, laying down beside her. They would have to bring her body back to Riverclan, and Finchsong would have a silent vigil for the duration of the night.
"I'm sorry Finchpaw." Oakleaf whispered, "I wish I came sooner to help her…"
"It's not your fault… she fought hard, and well. The fox was too strong for the both of us. If anything, it's my fault. She died protecting me."
"Any mentor would do that," he said, sitting by her, "My mentor, even with his icy temper, would save me from anything."
Finchsong smiled softly. "He really does care about you. I know he does. He just doesn't want to admit it." She curled her tail around her paws.
"I know, he dose that with everyone…"
Hawkflight came rushing in, tailed by the Riverclan leader. (Frick forgot their name) Finchsong looked up as they came in, staying by her fallen mentor's side.
(Foxstar, a small fluffy calico she-cat)
"Can I help?" Oakleaf asked, tacking a step back to give more room.
"No, thank you Oakpaw. We can take it from here. Finchpaw, you'll have to help us get her back." Said Foxstar. "What are your new names, by the way?" "I'm Finchsong now."
"And i'm Oakleaf," He corrected, turning away from them.
"Alright. Finchsong, come along." "Can't Oakleaf help us get her back?" Foxstar considered for a few moments. "Fine, he may come. He's probably stronger than you are anyways."
Leaping back to them, he walked over to the other side of Silverbrook and helped lift her up. "Ok, lets go."
Finchsong nodded and assisted in any way she could. The most efficient way to get back was through another clan's territory, so they made haste. Surely, they wouldn't be attacked. They couldn't be. The leader of a clan surrounded by medicine cats who were bringing a fallen medicine cat back to her clan.
"So wheres you camp?" Oakleaf asked, trying to find it from the top of the hill from where they all where.
"That way." Finchsong gestured with her nose to a large patch of reeds and tall grass. "It's well camouflaged for safety purposes." There was also a small stream surrounding the camp, which required cats to either swim through or hop across the slippery stones that led inside.
"How do you guys stay dry?"
"Well, this is Riverclan. We don't need to." She slid into the water and gracefully swam across, coming out the other side with sleek fur. She shook out her fur, leaving it mostly dry. "True Riverclan cats have water resistant coats and webbed paws, like otters."
"Ewwww." he put one paw in the water, and then pulled it out, "You cant go in with Silverbrook, I'll like to stay dry tonight."
"Use the stones, then! That's what they're doing." She looked over at Foxstar and Hawkflight, who were stepping carefully across the stones with Silverbrook.
"Uhhhh." Sighing, he followed them across then went back into place besides Silverbrook.
Finchsong followed behind the group, falling silent. She tried her best to not show how sorrowful she really was. She needed to be strong for the clan, as she was now the only medicine cat.
"if you need help with anything, Finchsong, just ask me." He muttered, following close behind her.
"Of course, Oakleaf." She could hear her clanmates' shocked gasps as Silverbrook was carried past them, and she hung her head. They were staring at her, wondering what happened, how it could have happened. After all, Finchsong was a medicine cat, she should have been able to fix it. No, I couldn't have… I had no access to any necessary resources, and the wounds were too bad anyways…
"Thank you Hawkflight for doing what you did," Oakleaf said, nosing the brown tabby tom, "Thank you."
"It's no problem, Oakleaf. Silverbrook and I were quite close; it's only respectful that I should help. My deepest condolences, Finchsong." Hawkflight dipped his head before leaving.
