“But you’ll die.”
“But you’ll die.”
(Omgg. xD)
'True…' he stared longingly at the bar of chocolate, before turning his gaze to Jake. 'You're right. I'm guessing there are other people in this place, so maybe they have food?
“Hopefully.” Jake nodded.
'Should we go? Or search a bit more?'
“Let’s go.”
Kieran hopped down the stairs and went into the front room. Outside, the sun was setting already. He opened the door and waited for Jake. 'Wow, this day went fast.'
“Oh yeah… yeah it did…” Jake frowned, going down the stairs and to the door.
Stepping outside, he took a moment to take in the view. From outside the house, you could see directly to the ocean, with palm trees framing the sunset. 'Man, this view is stunning. If only London had this sort of view. All I can see from my window is the block of flats next to mine.' He laughed a bit. 'But this, this is nothing like I've ever seen before.'
Jake frowned, “Are we in Hawaii or something…? Or maybe we’re on some beach on California…?”
'I'm not sure,' he replied staring out at the glistening ocean. 'I've only ever left Britain once, and that was to visit the Republic of Ireland, which is so close that some people think it's part of the UK. I've only seen pictures of places like these, so I wouldn't know.'
“Oh.” Jake said, “Well when we’re outta here I’m going to bring you to Los Angelos.”
'Really?' he asked, turning to Jake with the biggest, brightest smile. 'I would love that! Honestly, thank you!'
“N-no problem…” Jake mumbled, a blush creeping up his cheeks. He’s so cute…
'I'll take you to London as well. And the llama farm.'
"Hurray! But first we have to get of here…"
Closing the door behind them, Kieran nodded. He began to walk towards the empty beach car park, which led to the road that looked like it would take them to the city. 'Come on, let's get going.'
"Coming!" Jake called, giving the flower one last poke before jogging back to Kieran.
Kieran walked at a quick pace to the road. He could see the city, which was quite far in the distance–luckily, a shop was nearby.
'Look, a shop!' he shouted, pointing at a service station a while down the road. 'Wait, we don't have money.'
"Flip." Jake said, quickly patting his pockets. "Yep, you're right."
Kieran reached into his pocket and pulled out a two-pound coin he'd had in there earlier. 'I'm assuming they don't take British currency either.' He put it back in his pocket and furrowed his brows. 'Maybe we can plead with the shop workers?'
Jake paused for a moment, then nodded, “Let’s do that.” He started walking again, nervously playing with his hair.
He began to walk down to the shop, staying next to Jake. 'Do you think–just maybe, possibly–we're the only ones here?'
“Well then who would’ve built all the houses and stores?”
'I don't know… it feels pretty empty. If people were here, then the beach would have been full, right? It's a beautiful day, people wouldn't just stay inside.'
“Well maybe it’s national stay inside and don’t go outside day?” Jake shrugged.
'We broke the rules then,' laughed Kieran. 'Come on. If we get to the shop, we can find out what's going down.'
“Okay, c’mon!” Jake grinned, he gently took Kieran’s hand and began to walk faster.
Kieran squeezed Jake's hand slightly. The shop wasn't too far away now. 'I hope they sell avocado. And toast. So we can make avocado toast.'
"I heard about it, is it good?"
