A few weeks had passed since the night of Caroline's first day at Liam's, and now the couple was in their bedroom talking about their plans for that day. It was July forth, also known as Independence Day in America. Later that evening, Caroline and Brad, along with all of their friends, were going to have a party down at the beach together. "I think we're meeting up at around two o'clock. That doesn't give us too much time."

She groaned clsoing her eyes "But I want to be with you" she pouted

Brad snickered, peering his head around the corner of the bathroom. "You will be with me. I thought we were both going." He hummed leaning against the frame. "Besides, it's not going to be anything big. Just our friends." He pointed out, smiling over at her softly.

she sighed "They'll drag us away from each other" she said.

"Relax baby-doll. I can promise you that won't happen. Because as soon as it does, I'll turn around to come get you. How about that?" Brad hummed, pushing off the door frame to come over to the bed. "We'll have a good night tonight. No worries."

she put her head in his lap with a sigh

Smiling softly, he adjusted his position so he could pet her hair. "Come on, it won't be bad. We'll have a good time tonight, I promise. Nothing bad will happen."

"Where Have I Heard That before?" she said

"This time, I promise will be different. Nothing will happen." Brad insisted, leaning down to peck her forehead. "You can hold me to that."

"fine" she said hitting up

Brad watched her sit up, sighing weakly. "Are you really mad at me?" He asked her, sliding back off the bed to go finish brushing his teeth. "Be honest."

"of course I'm not mad at you I'm just worried" she said

"Worried about what, baby-doll?" Brad asked, before downing his mouth rinse and swishing. He had a smile on as he did so, glancing out at her.

"Um last time I almost got kidnapped" she said

Nodding a bit, he spit the minty mouth rinse out before turning. "True. But that was at a girl's house, that you barely knew. We're going down to a private beach, by Kaylee's house. The only people that can get on, are those invited and the people that live there." Brad hummed, leaning back against the frame.

" Fine" she mumbled " but I'm going to keep my face hidden in your side at all times" she said

Brad pouted, turning to wipe down the sink. "But I want to see your pretty face." He mumbled, tossing the disinfectant wipe away once he finished cleaning up. Running a hand through his hair, he gave himself a soft smile in the mirror.

"maybe you could go without me and I could stay here" she said

Brad let his smile drop, with his decent mood. "Come on babe. You're going to be safe. It's just us, you're friends. Your sister, your boyfriend. Thomas, Collins, Amber. Jasper, Lucas, Anthony, and Kaylee. Maggie, and Henry. We're not going to hurt you, or let you get hurt today."

"ok but I'm still going to be jittery" she said

"That's fine. We'll just be careful." Brad told her, grabbing a pair of swim shorts and a simple t-shirt to pull over top. "Whatever makes you relax."

"okay then I'm ready" she said

"What? Ready to go?" Brad asked, pulling his pajama shirt off before pulling his t-shirt on. "Or do you mean you're already relaxed?"

She walked over to her m her white boots clicking and wrapped her arms around him placing gentle kisses on his jaw

Smiling softly, he pecked her cheek. "You know I like that, but that doesn't quite answer my question. If you're ready to go, I need to finish getting ready. I told Kaylee I'd bring drinks. I have to go pack those up."
