It had been about a week or two, but they were finally nearing the location of the first spellcaster.

Aliana hadn't minded the journey, though she hadn't been expecting it to take so long.

Valerie lived in her little cottage in the woods away from everyone else. She had just been doing her little maintenance things.

Hatta sighed quietly as they reached the cottage, knocking on the door.

Valerie let out a hum as she heard the door knock. She made her way over and opened the door to see two people standing there, "Um hello."

Hatta took a deep breath. "Hi. Glade sent us. If you know who that is?"

"Glade? Haven't heard that name in a while," Valerie responded stepping away from the door, "Come on in you two. Who are you two anyway?"

"I'm Hatta Quin, and this is Aliana." He replied.

"Nice to meet you," Aliana added on as she began to step inside, "What's your name?"

"Valerie," she responded making her way to the table, "So what brings you two to my place?"

"Well…." Hatta rubbed his face slightly. "It's kinda complicated."

"Try me," Valerie responded looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

"So…apparently my family line volunteered to be the vessels for malignant magic, which drives us insane and turns us into the Jabberwock." Hatta said slowly.

"Oh," Valerie responded taking a sip of coffee that was on the table, "That's a thing?"

"Yes." he replied.

"Got it, so why are you here?" Valerie asked him.

"Well…we were wanting to lift the spell, and Glade said that we need spellcasters, so…we came to ask if you would help?"

"I can most certainly try," Valerie responded. She wasn't going to turn down a chance to help people, it wasn't in her nature, "I'm assuming we need to go back to Glade's house then with more of us?"

Hatta nodded. "Yeah, we need to find more people."

"I'm guessing since there's only you two, and this sounds like at least a 5 caster job," Valerie responded.

He nodded. "Yeah. Glade gave us a map to find people."

"Really? Can I see it?" Valerie asked holding her hand out. Aliana handed it over to the spell caster with some hesitation.

Hatta cocked his head a little bit.

Valerie studied the map for a second. She pulled out a pen and laid it out on the table, "I have a bit better idea of how… Helpful some of the other spellcasters are. At least those in this area."

Hatta nodded slightly. "Right."
