Mycah went in a different direction than Winter. They wandered around the house, noting everything that was there, and the things that weren't there. The house was pretty small, and Mycah quickly finished their exploration.

Winter met up with Mycah again. "I think the sink leaks." He said simply. "Along with the roof in the North corner." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Huh. We can fix that with a bucket for the time being." Mycah said, nodding. "I found a dining room table and some chairs, but not much furniture otherwise. What are we going to do about sleeping?"

"Yeah." Mycah started wandering back to the room they guessed was the dining room, based on the fact that the dining room table was located there. "Do you remember if we had any sleeping bags in the car?"

"We should check at some point." Mycah sat down on a chair, glad it didn't immediately break under their weight. Now they knew at least one chair was trustworthy. "So… have you ever robbed a bank before?"

"I guess we'll find out. And it's not like anyone's stopped us before." Mycah grinned slightly, casually testing the chair next to them. It held as well, bringing the number of trustable chairs up to two.

He smiled, looking over at Mycah. "Right. And even if we don't succeed, we can always try again later." he replied with a nod, still leaning on the table. Which, thankfully, held his weight.

"Yep. Nothing can keep us out for long. I mean, we really did the hardest thing first. Everything else should be easy." Mycah leaned back a little, rummaging through their backpack and pulling out a packet of trail mix. They stared at it sadly, then opened it. Back to provisions, it would seem.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He laughed a little at that. "Yup. Bank robbery can't be any harder than assassinating the leader of the country." his mouth twisted in a faint smile.

"If it is, we're doing something wrong," Mycah agreed, popping a handful of trail mix in their mouth. "Do you want to get the car and go check out Merilla now?" They asked after a few moments of silence.

"I'll drive." Mycah gave Winter a small, crooked smile and stood up. "You did fine, but it took a while. And while we're out, we might look for a locksmith or something like that to fix our door problem."

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Thanks." he said with a quiet laugh. "Yeah, I'm a bit…out of practice with driving and all that." he shook his head slightly, heading towards the door.

"Maybe you could practice after we finish this job," Mycah suggested, following him towards the door. "After all, we're going to be having nothing but time after this." Unless something else from either of our pasts comes to bite us, Mycah continued in their head. They didn't want to say it out loud for fear it might actually come true, though.

Mycah exited the house, nodding at Winter slightly. They quickly locked the door– which they were getting tired of very quickly– and started back towards the motel.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter walked with Mycah, keeping an eye out for anyone coming. The tall male felt a bit tired, but mostly that was the demon wanting out. Wanting to destroy and tear and rip apart.

When they both arrived at the car, Mycah quickly unlocked the door. "Can you start this thing again?" They asked, looking at Winter. Curses, everything they had didn't have keys. This was getting really annoying.

"I'll stop at a place before we leave for Merilla," Mycah said, sitting in the seat and closing the door. Hopefully, the pair didn't need to make any sudden exits from the bank, because it would be really slow for Winter to start the car and then run around to get in. Maybe he could teach Mycah some time.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter nodded a little bit. "Alright. Also, starting the car is pretty easy now. You see those two wires? You twist them together and start driving. That's all. It's just the first time that it's hard."

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Oh! Thanks." Mycah gave Winter a surprised but grateful smile. "Let's just hope the first time isn't while we're being chased by armed bank workers." They started driving, going back through the center of town towards the gas station.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He laughed a little bit. "Well, I already did the first time. It should be easier now." he replied, looking over at Mycah with a little smile.

"Good. I wasn't looking forward to the possibility that we'd get 'captured' and have the fight them all just because I couldn't get the car to turn on." Mycah gave Winter a warm look, then glanced out the windshield. The gas station was somewhere near the outside of the town, but they couldn't remember where exactly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter nodded a little bit, glancing over at him for a moment, then back out the windshield again. "Mhm. I mean, I'm sure we could fight them, but that wouldn't make it easy." he replied with a shrug.

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Yep. In and out without fighting means less chance of them seeing us and trying to chase us." Mycah agreed, spotting the gas station and pulling into it. They got out of the car and turned it off, which made them rather proud, then walked up the attendant to pay for the gas.
