Agreed.
Agreed.
You know the trope where two characters solely call each other by nicknames or last names, but then one and/or both are in danger or an otherwise precarious situation, and they use the other person's real name? Give it to me.
my sister had the opposite in one of her ideas. One of her characters called another "Theeny" when he was scared and we never got that far but it was really cute. Yeah, we couldn't think of a good nickname for Athena

This reminds me of Watch What Happens (Reprise) from Newsies.

I can offer a pair who call each other by personal names only when alone and speak to each other in professional names while in public.
(My not lesbians but will 100% be shipped. They share a bed.)
(And there was only one bed D:)
(You have Not Lesbians™️ too?)
(Indeed.)
(It's a big bed.)
I want more Hufflepuff villains
Villains so thoroughly devoted to the cause that they would do just about anything, not for themselves but for it
Villains who look out for other villains, because if they die, that's one less person to kill off before getting to them
Idk I just want horrifyingly loyal villains
Read Everlost by Neal Shusterman

Ooh tempting
I did like the Scythe books, and I've been meaning to read more from him

Hmm that happened in my dream last night. Me and Mikayla shared a bed. I held her hand last night platonically (While we watched Hamilton!) so I think that had to do with it.
I use "and there was only one bed" for some of my realistic fiction characters lol
Gays that are casual, happy, or both.
ace relationships
Yes to both!
Gays that are casual, happy, or both.
I'm genuinely so sick of reading books that are just about the struggles of being queer and have such negative endings. I get that it can be realistic but when you're a Baby Gay and looking for books about people like you, it really sucks when they all are so miserable.
On that note, MORE PAN BOOKS. All I can find is either lesbian or Bi, and that's great and all, but I want a pan protagonist
I’d like to see more depressed characters who don’t have their lives together. I’ve seen depressed characters who are, for example, in school, and they have a perfect GPA and do extracurriculars but are always Unhappy and Empty Inside- which is completely valid and relatable to some people (such as myself a few years ago), but that’s all I ever seem to see. There are also a lot of depressed people who are failing and struggling to be productive, which is more frowned upon in society and needs more recognition- being productive and wanting to die is “tragic”, being unable to do things is “lazy.” I’d like to see the “inconvenient” aspects of depression more often.
Oh same!
Characters whose thought process isn't inherently "ew gross, a XXXX person" or "XXXX person needs my help, must help them now" and is instead more like "ew, a XXXX person. Wait. No. That's a terrible thing to think." Characters who aren't naturally perfectly good and have to actively strive to be a good person
Also characters who aren't bad all the time. But I feel like there's either a lot more of that in semi recent books or I've just been finding it more often. It's nice and I like it
I love awful characters. I love reading about them and I love writing them.
Specifically when they're well-written and not just bland.
Good villain retellings. Not that I can pinpoint what separates the good and the bad. What I'm trying to say is I need Starkid's Twisted in book form. Like now

YES
I wanna do it but I wouldn't be able to do it justice
I love Hook as a book. But as a retelling it absolutely sucks bc it defies all cannon.
So does Twisted and it makes me cry. It's beautiful
Also something I'd like to see. Abusive relationships (that are shown as such) with the girl as the abuser.
Dom we've got a separate chat for that lol
Whoops.
(There we go Lol.)
