Can I still join?
(May I join?)
Sage laid in bed. She sighed, most of her apartment was colorless for her. Only a few things stood out. A small redish-orange fox stuffed animal stood on her nightstand. It was worn out but comforted her. "At least I have you in this colorless world." She whispered. "What if I never find my soulmate?" Sage thought out loud. Sad thoughts of a forever colorless world filled her head but quickly vanished as she fell asleep.
Violet's eyes fluttered open as her room flooded with light from the morning sun. 'damnit' she thought. She got up and looked at her phone. She had slept in until 11am! 'well,' she thought again, 'nobody saw me yesterday so this is fine.' She slipped back into her boots and pulled a beanie over her messy hair.
Cye sighed in relief when his shift ended at 11. He was starving! Cye jogged to the nearest fast food place and ordered a burger with medium fries and a large coffee. Even after he was up for nearly 5 hours, he was still sleepy.
Violet walked down the pale streets, feeling envious of people who could see the bright blue sky. She looked around at all the people around her and sighed in disappointment. she'd probably never find a soulmate in this part of town.
Carolina walked around her neighborhood, smiling every time she caught a glimpse of the only color she could see, bright against the contrasting grey landscape. (She can see purple)
Sage woke up, she had slept in. She got up and got ready, then left to get food. She was still tired, she ordered a vanilla milkshake, large fries, and some chicken strips. The red outline of the sign stood out to her, as did some of the seats. (It's the place Cye is just FYI.)
(Ok)
Cye walked up to the counter to grab his food when his name was called. He grabbed the tray and grunted when he ran into something. Wait, not something, someone, "Ack! I'm so sorry!" he apologized franically when he realized he hadn't spilt his coffee on a pole, but on a person.
Sage was pushed back slightly when someone accidentally bumped into her. Some of their coffee had spilled on her. She was a little angry but didn't show it. "You're fine." She said, she looked at the person. It was a boy about her age. She grabbed some napkins from the nearby dispenser and started to dry her shirt.
"I'm so sorry! How can I make it up to you?" he asked, wanting to be able to make it up to the girl.
Violet walked into a small restaurant and saw a few people. She ordered some food and sat down in the corner with it.
"You don't need to." Sage replied. Her shirt was mostly dry but you could see where the drink was spilled.
Carolina decided to go to a restaurant that was a few blocks down from her house. She liked it there because they had a bright purple poster that illustrated a butterfly on a background of some pale color, and she loved the immediate contrast.
"Alright," Cye said, a little hesitant, "Again, I'm really sorry!" he apologized once more and walked to his seat.
Haru rolled out of her bed and onto the floor with a loud thud before waking. "What the…" She lazily got up to her feet and looked out the window. Midday! So much time had been wasted just sleeping! She had to go out and do something before the day was done. Quickly grabbing a hat off the wall to conceal her bedhead, she slipped on a pair of shoes and headed out of her apartment. "Now where to go…"
Carolina walked into the restaurant, ordering a sandwich and sitting down at a vacant table.
Sage got her food then looked around for a table. Most of the tables in the small area had been taken by at least one person. There was probably one or two tables still open but she was too lazy to look for them. She saw the boy that had bumped into her sitting at a table alone. She walked over to him, "Mind if I sit here? I'm pretty sure the other tables are all taken." She asked.
“Oh, uh, go ahead,” Cye stuttered, a little flustered, “Oh, uh, I’m Cye, by the way.”
"Thanks. I'm Sage." Sage sat down at the table.
“Cool,” Cye said. He sat in awkward silence for a while before deciding to ask the one question he could think of, “What color can you see?”
Sage hesitated a second."Red. You?" She replied.
"Blue," he answered and hoped she'd start a conversation, seeing as he was really bad at it.
"Cool. So um, do you have a favorite book or movie?" Sage knew it was a random question but she didn't care.
Cye thought for a bit, "I'd have to say the Percy Jackson books are pretty good," he admitted, "But the movies are horrible!"
(I think you meant Cye not Alex)
"Good choice." Sage commented. "I like the Hunger Games books. The movies aren't terrible but the books are better."
