Winter started to eat, taking slow, small bites out of his food. He hummed softly for a moment as he ate, then went quiet again.
Mycah ate slowly as well, enjoying every bite. Everything was made perfectly, as usual, and it was really satisfying. "How is your food?" Mycah asked, pausing and looking at Winter for a second.
Winter shrugged slightly. "It's…really good. Thanks." He replied with a little smile, eating some more of his food. He was sitting on the bed as he ate.
"Of course." Mycah inclined their head a bit, then went back to eating. Pretty soon, their dinner was gone. Mycah was perfectly satisfied and ready to sleep. Getting some hot food in their stomach was making them very sleepy.
Winter finished up his food, throwing the container away. He stretched and yawned softly, taking off the daggers and setting them on the bedside table.
Mycah got up and threw away the container, then pulled their hair back into a braid. They pulled off their jacket and kicked off their boots, then sat down on the bed and yawned.
Winter stretched. "Do you have a preference on which side of the bed you're on?" He asked, looking over at Mycah with raised eyebrows.
"Uh… This side is fine," Mycah said, patting the right side, where they were sitting. "What about you? I can go on the other side of you want." They stifled another yawn.
Winter nodded a little bit. "Nah. I don't care, I just wanted to make sure whether or not you did." he replied, laying down on the side of the bed he was on.
"Okay." Mycah pulled back the covers and slid under them. They didn't really care if the lights in the room were on or off– they could sleep just as well either way. The bed was very comfortable, and Mycah finally relaxed.
Winter turned out the lights, closing his eyes to sleep. Or to try to, anyways. He didn't sleep as much as most people.
They were asleep almost instantly, the combination of an actual bed and a warm meal leaving them unable to resist. Not that they wanted to. Their dreams were mercifully absent of any bad memories or painful experiences.
(timeskip?)
(Yep! You can start!)
(alright!)
Winter was already awake in the morning, having gotten the three hours of sleep that his body needed to function. This was because the demon gave his body more energy than it needed, which meant he didn't really need to eat or sleep.
Mycah woke up slowly, not wanting to leave the peaceful dreamworld they'd been in for the night. But then they remembered that today was the day they would both move to the new house. And, possibly, go rob a bank in Merilla. Mycah opened their eyes and sat up.
Winter was standing by the window, looking outside. Though he was careful not to let in too much light, not wanting to disturb Mycah's sleep.
"Good morning," Mycah said, looking over at Winter. "We're moving today, correct?" They stood up and stretched. "And possibly robbing that bank?"
Winter nodded. "Yes, and yes." he replied, looking over at Mycah. "The bank is optional, obviously." he shrugged his shoulders.
"Well, it would be fun." Mycah pulled on their boots. "Let's hope that house is still empty. Though, we could always run out anyone who took it." They started towards the bathroom to splash some water on their face.
Winter nodded a little bit. "Mhm." he agreed, taking a deep breath and putting his shoes on. "Shall we head out?"
"Yeah." Mycah walked out of the bathroom and grabbed their backpack. After casting a look around the room to make sure they didn't forget anything, Mycah started toward the door.
Winter grabbed his backpack, his daggers already belted by his side. "So. To the house." he said under his breath as he followed Mycah to the door.
Mycah walked out of the room, then headed for the street. They walked quickly, since they weren't looking for anything this time. The house still looked abandoned as they approached, which was quite a relief. It would have been just their luck for a random person to occupy the one house they wanted to stay in.
Winter raised an eyebrow. "Are we just…abandoning the car?" he asked, looking at Mycah as they approached the house.
"Eh, we can get it later. And it would be suspicious to have a random stolen car show up near an abandoned house." Mycah waved their hand. In truth, though… they had forgotten about the car. Maybe they weren't as awake as they had thought they were.
Winter nodded a little bit. "Alright." He replied slowly. "Shall we head inside, then?" He asked, heading towards the door of the house. "We need to get keys, somehow."
"Yeah. I'm getting better at it, but I'd rather not have to create a key every time. And you wouldn't be able to get in by yourself." Mycah headed towards the door, unlocking it with their magic and holding it open for Winter. They didn't know how they would get keys to an abandoned house, but they'd figure it out later.
Winter nodded slightly, heading inside. His hands rested on his daggers, prepared to have to fight if necessary. He didn't want to fight, but he would if he had to.
Mycah closed the door and looked around the house. "We should look around, figure out the rooms and if anything left here works," They suggested, glancing at Winter.
