Winter sat straight, eyebrows drawing together as he looked over at Mycah. "What?" he asked, standing. "Is something wrong?" his hands reached automatically for where his daggers hung sheathed on his belt.

"Not really, unless you consider being annoyed to death 'something wrong'," Mycah sighed, peeking back out the window. Crow was already gone– hopefully, forever, but most likely he was going to try and find them. "It's someone I knew during the war."

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Ah. Alright." he replied, relaxing just a little bit. "Are they a threat, or not?" He asked. Meaning should I do something about it? He wouldn't hurt that person, of course, but still.

"Eh, probably not." Mycah shrugged, crumpling up the wrapper of the bar and throwing it into the small trashcan. "He was part of the secret, third side of the war. At least, that's what he and his people told me." They rolled their eyes. Mycah had never really taken the 'secret third side' that seriously– no one had ever given them a reason to.

Winter nodded, looking out the window and squinting down at the parking lot. "Uh huh." he replied, disbelief obvious. "I don't think i believe that."

"I think he just wanted to fight as many people as he could," Mycah sighed, turning towards the door at the sound of a light knock. "That might be him. Be ready, just in case." They flicked their hand, getting ready for a fight. If it wasn't Crow, or if Crow had decided to join Crin, it wouldn't be good.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter nodded slightly, his hands going to his daggers, half drawing them. "Who's going to get the door?" he asked, eyes flashing from Mycah to their closed door.

"I will. He might freak out and try and kill you. And then he'll be dead and we'll have to get rid of the body." Mycah walked to the door, checking the small hole in the door before. It really was Crow, grinning like an idiot. They opened the door ever so slightly.
"Hey, Harrow." Crow winked at them. A quick check revealed no extra weapons and no people waiting in the hallway.
"What do you want?" Mycah asked coldly.
"To see you, of course! Now let me in before we attract any attention?" Mycah looked back at Winter, their eyebrows raised as if to ask him what he thought.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter listened, hands resting on the dagger hilts. He cocked his head slightly, giving a one shoulder shrug, as if to say "that's up to you". He kept his eyes on the door, though he couldn't see Crow.

Mycah turned back to Crow, their eyebrows narrowed. Crow hadn't been too bad in the past… It probably wouldn't hurt to see what he was doing there. "Fine, come in." They opened the door wider and stepped aside. Crow sauntered in, eyes immediately locking onto Winter.
"Who's your friend?" He asked, looking back at Mycah. They closed the door and locked it again, ignoring Crow's question.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter smiled a little bit. "Depends. Would you prefer if I was a bodyguard, mercenary, or prostitute?" He replied, cocking his head. "Whichever floats your boat."

"I like you." Crow looked back to Winter. "I'm Crow. What's your name?" He took a few steps closer to Winter. Mycah heaved a sigh and put an arm in front of Crow.
"What are you doing here, Crow?" They asked, not sounding very happy.

"I'll tell you as soon as you tell me his name." Crow crossed his arms over his chest, mouth in a dramatic pout.
"Crow!" Mycah warned, eyes narrowing. Crow sighed and dropped his arms to his sides.
"Well, we lost and Crin," he wrinkled his nose at the name, "sent her people after us. We all scattered, and I ended up here. It was just a coincidence that I saw you. I just wanted to say hi." He shrugged.

"Okay. Can you leave now?" Mycah asked, glancing between Winter and Crow. "Go find Jackson or something."
"I have no idea where he is," Crow sighed. "And I lied about just wanting to say hi. I just realized that I want to recruit your help– and your friend, if that's what he does– to get rid of Crin. She's newly in power, and it should be easy to kill her." Mycah bit the inside of their cheek and looked at Winter again, suppressing the urge to laugh.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter snorted, lips curving just a little bit at that. Guess he doesn't know. He thought. He cocked his head a little bit at Crow, but didn't speak.

"What?" Crow frowned, looking between Winter and Mycah. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Crin is dead," Mycah said, a small smile on their face. "I'm afraid we beat you to it."
"You killed her?" Crow asked, his voice soft and amazed. "I knew it. Thank you so much!" He leaned down and kissed Mycah on the cheek. "I'll go find Jackson, then. The country isn't that big." Crow waved at Winter, then turned and started towards the door.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter raised an eyebrow a little bit at the kiss, cocking his head. He wondered for a moment what the relationship was there, but didn't ask.

Mycah locked the door after Crow and sighed heavily. "Sorry about him. He's the worst." They ran a hand through their hair and decided they would braid it now they finally could.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Winter cocked his head a little bit. "He didn't seem that bad to me." he replied with a shrug. "But then again, I don't know him as well as you."

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"You've never had to spend a week in the middle of the wilderness with him and it shows." Mycah started braiding their hair, an amused smile on their face.

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Much more annoying than that." Mycah tied a hair tie around the end of their braid. "He never stopped talking." They sighed and looked at Winter. "Although he was way more bearable with Jackson around."

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Another one of the members of the third group. Crow is always claiming that 'Jackie' is his boyfriend, and Jackson is always denying it." Mycah gave a small laugh. "It's kind of a funny thing to watch. And it distracted both of them, so I didn't have to deal with either of them."

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"It was." Mycah nodded, smiling a little at the memories. It wasn't all wonderful– Jackson and Crow had actually tried to kill Mycah and their group at first– but they'd all gotten along in the end.

Mycah sat down on the bed, resting their head in their hands. They should probably find out just how much money they had left. That way they knew what they could and couldn't do. Mycah grabbed the backpack and pulled out all the money, then set about counting it. Hopefully, they had enough money for at least one hot meal, even if it was just takeout on the motel room floor.
