Emmeline smiled back, though the look somehow seemed more intimidating than friendly despite her small stature. “Same, and money of course,” she responded.

"Of course." Mikazu giggled cautiously, darting her eyes to Zaire. She didn't know how friendly this Emmeline really was. "Are we ready to go?"

"I'm ready!" Hanaka couldn't stop smiling as she repositioned her bag on her shoulder. "This'll be fun!"

"Finally," Tiergan growled. He looked behind them. "Can we please get going?"

"Let's go," Zaire said, making it a point to bump into Tiergan on her way out the door.

She stopped for a second to look up at the darkening sky as the rest followed her out-it appeared the moon wouldn't be bright tonight.

"We're going to follow this trail for now, it's not bright enough to go off on our own path yet."

Mikazu nodded, following Zaire contently. She unsheathed a dagger from her side in preparation for what was to come. She almost snickered when Zaire made a point to bump into Tiergan. This adventure would certainly be… interesting. Mikazu only hoped that in a positive way.

"So…" Jax started awkwardly. "Is everyone here strangers or did you guys already have most of this group together?" He tried, attempting small talk.

“I’m certainly not familiar with anyone here,” Emmeline responded, with a glance in Jax’s direction. “Though I daresay I like what I see.” Despite her flirtatious manner, she still seemed a bit mischievous and fierce, as she probably had as long as she’d been there.

She wondered how many people in this group she could get away with flirting with. It would be a fun challenge for her while she tried not to roll her eyes at the others in the group.

Tiergan starts to clench his fists really tightly, to the point that his hands turn white. His face is a blank mask.

(bro they should be the type of friends who flirt back and forth… btw I'm ok with shipping Jax with anyone who wants to)

Jax smirked at Emmeline, glad he decided to join this little adventure. "Right back at you."

Emmeline grinned at the comment. “I like you,” she said, walking closer to him. “What’s your name, cutie?”

Jax huffed out a laugh, a real smile forming. "Jaxxon Kim, but you, beautiful, can call me Jax." He answered. "And what can I call you? Other than beautiful, I mean."

“Well, hot, gorgeous, and stunning are all good choices, but if you want my name, it’s Emmeline,” she responded with a wink that was half-flirty and half-joking.

Tiergan continued to clench his hands, and they got so white they were practically glowing.

Zaire felt like vomiting while listening to the conversation behind her.

"I really hope I get stuck down by one of the Gods early on in this," she said to herself, not realizing how loud she was being.

Mikazu snorted. To be honest, she thought the duo flirting was unnecessary to the quest, and rather annoying to the rest of the group, but she didn't want to protest or say anything to get on anyone's bad side.

Zaire had kept the group walking for hours despite scattered complaints. By the time she agreed to any sort of break, the sun was rising.

"If any of you are going to sleep, do it now," she said, "I've got to figure out where we are and where we need to be."

"You don't know?" asked Emmeline, pausing in her flirting to cast an annoyed glance at Zaire. "Whatever. I think I'm going to get some beauty sleep."

Tiergan wordlessly laid down on a nearby flat rock and closed his eyes.

"Good night, everybody!" Hanaka lay down in the grass, using her bag as a pillow.

Mikazu waved a good night to Zaire, climbing a nearby tree and rested her eyes. Even though she wanted to sleep, her mind raced around her head like a pinball machine. What happens if I'm found out? You won't get found out. What if we end up getting lost? What happens then?

"It's kind of hard to focus on a map when people are uselessly flirting," Zaire snapped at Emmeline, her voice growing very quiet as she spoke again "Although I must say you don't seem to much need beauty sleep."

Turning her attention to the map, Zaire carefully analyzed the detailed image.

"Ah, would you look at that," she whispered to herself, "We passed that rock about an hour ago so we're maybe a mile or two from our first stop."

Tucking the map into her belt, Zaire moved to lean back against the tree behind her. She wasn't going to sleep- she had to keep watch in order to prevent any incidents.

Emmeline giggled at Zaire’s remark before settling down for the night. She actually fell asleep rather quickly, snoring softly.

As she sat keeping watch, Emmeline's snoring began to get on her nerves. It wasn't long before Zaire was pouting and tossing pebbles in her direction in an attempt to wake her.

"If this doesn't wake her or at least cause her to shift and stop her snoring I'm going over there and shaking her awake," Zaire grumbled to herself, the earth below her beginning to shake in response to her agitation.

Emmeline, however was a deep sleeper. She did turn over in the opposite direction and stop snoring for a few minutes though. Then the snoring returned, even quieter than before but still audible if one listened closely.

Mikazu sighed at the commotion, forcing her eyes shut and using her pack as a pillow. She had slept in worse conditions, but the two below her were agitating her.
