Chuckling, Phoenix turned back to the green light and took off. He didn't say anything for a couple minutes, as they were two or three minutes away from the library. He was trying to focus. Once he saw the large building, he perked up and glanced over at her. "We're almost there, sorry for the silence."
"It's fine," Cicada brushed it off easily. She hadn't minded the silence since it let her take the town in more than she had been able to earlier. She looked out and caught the large building in her sight, "I'm guessing that big building is the library?"
"You got it." Phoenix nodded slightly, pulling into a parking space. "I think it might be closed, but we can walk around this part of town." The young man chirped, picking up his coffee cup before shutting off the car. "As long as you're okay with that."
Cicada grabbed her coffee-sipping it before getting out of the car smiling. She nodded along and looked back to him, "That's fine. It's a part of town I haven't been to yet. So it'll be nice to walk around."
"It's also quiet. Not a lot of people are out around now, especially since the roads are so tight. Of course the busy roads are all around here, so it makes things incredibly difficult." Snickering, he pushed the door open to slide out.
Cicada laughed as she leaned on the car waiting for him, "But of course. Isn't that how most downtown areas are? Busy roads but no people wandering the streets?"
"Yup, I've always disliked that." He sighed, holding out a hand to her with a soft smile. "Anyways, we should get on while the night is still young. It's not too dark yet."
Cicada smiled and took his hand. She stepped up next to him sipping her coffee, "Yep. Besides, sometimes seeing the town in the dark is prettier than in the daylight ya know?"
"I agree, it gives everything a cool undertone. It makes things light up more." Phoenix agreed with her, lacing their fingers before pulling her along. "I'm assuming you'll be down here a lot."
"If I like down here, then yes I will be," Cicada laughed as she let him lace their fingers. She had no problem with it, "But yeah, everything looks cooler at night."
"It's more relaxed too, nobody likes to come after dark to a place they don't know." Phoenix mumbled, leading her on closer to the library. "They're scare of what could be there."
“They should get familiar with the place then,” Cicada responded hearing his mumbling, “There’s no use in being scared of a place in the dark.”
"I get why they would be scared though. Some people could be afraid of the dark," He hummed, pausing to sort his wording. "Some are just afraid what could be. They're probably rather safe than sorry kind of people."
"Yeah, I'm not one of those people," Cicada admitted with a laugh. She probably should act like she was, but that always just felt wrong in the past, "What about you?"
"Depends the dark space. If I'm walking into a building, I want the lights on. Especially if it's big." He hummed softly, standing at the base of the library. "Somewhere like this building for instance. I wouldn't go in there without some source of light."
"I can understand that," Cicada nodded as she looked at the door. It had a nice sign on it saying closed, "Looks like it is closed for the day."
"Yeah, just thought I'd show you." Phoenix smiled softly to her, turning to completely face her. "Anyways, pick a direction. We'll go whatever way you pick." Holding out his hand holding the coffee, he pointed out in a random direction.
Cicada thought for a moment before she pointed forwards, "Thanks for showing me where it is, but let's keep going forward. It'll be more fun that way."
Nodding curtly, he pulled her along slowly in the direction she had asked. "Alright, onward we go!" He hummed out, glancing over his shoulder to her.
Cicada laughed at his statement and she was smiling. She lifted up her free hand as she followed along, "Onward we go!"
Smiling brightly, he knew this was going to be a fun night. His coffee slowly started to kick in, waking him up from the school-work lull he had fallen in. "I'm not sure exactly what's this way, but I'll remember as we go."
Cicada was just becoming more awake with every sip. She had a big smile on as she walked with him, "Then this'll be fun. Me discovering and you remembering."
"Let's just hope we don't get lost." Phoenix snickered, positive they wouldn't really get lost. Even if they did, there were other ways to get back. "We should probably come back no later than 9."
Cicada laughed as she looked at the clock on her phone, "Yeah. 9 sounds good. So let's go get lost in the city!"
Chuckling softly, he drained off the last bit of coffee before tossing it in a nearby trashcan. "Not too lost, I hope. Being lost in the dark sounds unpleasant."
Cicada took another sip still having a little bit left in her cup. She had a grin on, "Of course not too lost, but being a little lost is always fun."
"I guess that's true. As long as you don't get lost forever." He snickered, coming around the back of the library. "Let's figure this place out, shall we?"
"We shall," Cicada responded as she started to pull him along. She had a mischievous smile on, "Let's get lost in the city."
Sighing softly, he shook his head back and forth with a soft snicker. "Are you leading now?" He asked teasingly, watching her with a soft smile.
Cicada looked at him and she stuck her tongue out just slightly. She had a bright grin when she pulled it back in a smirk and sassy voice, "Maybe. You weren't moving fast enough."
