”Mama?” Laura-Beth asked a little scared, placing her hands on her mother's arm.
Lysander turned to his wife, in worry as he watched her.
”Mama?” Laura-Beth asked a little scared, placing her hands on her mother's arm.
Lysander turned to his wife, in worry as he watched her.
Betty opened her eyes to glance at laura-beth
”You ok?” Laura-Beth asked softly.
She shook her head weakly
”What’s wrong?” Lysander asked.
Looked at him her eyes bloodshot her lips chapped
He raised a brow, frowning slightly as he brought his wrist to her mouth.
She shook her head
”What is it then, love?” he asked gently as cupped the side of her face.
She did need blood but wasn't going to take his and stayed quiet
He looked at her in worry. ”Please love, tell me what do you need.”
Laura-Beth watched her parents before glancing at her wrist.
She only shook her head again
”Mama?” Laura-Beth said softly, lifting her wrist.
”Laura-Beth Castevau! You put your arm down!” Lysander said firmly.
Betty rolled over away from Laurabeth
”But I want mama to get better.” Laura-Beth argued.
Lysander sighed. ”So do I, sweetheart. But you’re… you’re too young to help her like that.” he explained calmer, knowing the little girl didn't even know what that meant yet.
She whimpered in pain
Lysander sighed and shook his head. ”Stubborn.” he whispered. ”Alright baby girl, if you want to help mama; hold Victoria for me for a while. I'll be back in a minute.”
”Ok, Papa.” Laura-Beth nodded, carefully taking her little sister into her arms.
Betty started to cry quietly
Lysander leaned over and kissed his wife's cheek. ”It’ll be ok, darling.” he promised before leaving the room. Henry had given them a small stash of emergency blood bags in a locked cooler in the basement.
She had bloody tears on her cheeks
”Mama?” Laura-Beth whimpered, not liking seeing her in pain like this.
It would take Lysander a minute to open the cooler and bring back a bag… or two.
She shook her head"get away from me Laurabeth" she grunted Harshly she didn't mean to be mean but she was trying to be protect her
Laura-Beth sobbed softly and scooted backwards, away from her as she still held Victoria close.
She closed her eyes again
Lysander ran back upstairs as soon as he locked the cooler again and was holding two bags of blood.
Bettys senses are the best were fading
Laura-Beth was still crying when Lysander came back into the room.
He knelt beside the bed, in front of Betty and held the bag up to her mouth. ”Here, love. Drink this.”
She tried to drink it but was too weak
Lysander frowned in worry before carefully rolling Betty on her back and helped her sit up. Being extremely careful not to spill, he ripped off a corner of the bag and brought it to her lips.
She looked at him weakly and sadly
