”Hello, my dear girl.” Charles smiled warmly as he walked into the room, kissing Betty's forehead. ”Lysander explained most of what happened. How do you feel?”

She sighed "I'm having happy" she said squeezing Lysanders hand

”Good.” Charles smiled at her as Lysander gently squeezed her hand back affectionately.

”Grandpa!” Laura-Beth said happily, hugging the older vampire. ”I’m a big sister!”

Charles chuckled and returned the hug. ”I know you are, precious.”

Betty smiled softly looking at Lysander affectionately

Lysander smiled softly back and kissed her hand.

She reached up with her other hand to brush her fingers against his cheek

He smiled softly and leaned into her touch. ”Betty?”

¨Yes?¨ she asked

”With Cole and the twins arriving… do you think we should postpone the rest of the trip?” he asked gently. The car was already a little cramped and they didn't have enough car seats yet. Logically, it made more sense to wait a little while and try again with another car.

she nodded ¨That would be best¨ she said

”Ok.” he smiled kindly and kissed her temple.

Laura-Beth looked at her parents. ”We going home?” she asked.

she nodded ¨why don´t you all go get our things and I´ll be here when you get back¨ she said.

Lysander looked against the idea of leaving her until Charles spoke up.

“I’ll stay with her and the babies while you all pack up.” he suggested since he didn't bring anything.

¨I´ll be okay Lysander Dad won´t let anything happen to me¨ she said.

Lysander let out a soft sigh and nodded. ”Ok. We shouldn't be gone too long.” he said.

”I should probably go too.” Evan agreed softly, carefully reaching the twins over for Betty to hold while Charles took Cole.

She held the twins in her arms with a soft smile

Evan smiled back at her and kissed her cheek. ”If there's anything I can do for you and the kids, let me know.” he told her. He really didn't have to go far, he just needed to grab the bag he packed earlier in the day and take it back to his hotel. But he also needed to uphold his part of the agreement with James, and he wasn't quite sure how long that would take.

betty nodded ¨okay¨ she agreed

Evan smiled at her and headed towards the door. ”See you later.”

”Be back soon, love.” Lysander assured softly, giving her a quick kiss before picking up Laura-Beth.

"Bye, Bye sweetheart" she said with a smile

”Bye-bye, Mama.” Laura-Beth pouted a little as Lysander took her away.

Charles let out a little huff but nodded. ”Alright.” he nodded. ”But I’m going to guess it wasn't Tyler's magic.”

He shook his head and sighed. ”I don't like you getting involved with him. … But if things were desperate, I won't judge you.” he assured her.

" I was dead dad's she said
