"But Logan hates me… I know he does. He always seems to be especially uptight and pissy when I'm around…"
"I have absolutely no idea why, but I mean, he'd most likely relate to you, so he'll have to learn to open up to you," Roman said.
"Wouldn't Patton have the best chance? Logan actually enjoys his company and stuff. I can't imagine Logan being willing to open up to me."
"I'd suggest having it be both you and him. Patton can get him to open up, but you'll be the only one who can help him from experience. This will take both of you," Roman said.
Virgil sighed and nodded. "I just… don't want him to get mad at me…" He said softly.
"I'm sure that he won't get mad. As I said, it'll take you and Patton, but things should turn out just fine," Roman said.
Virgil nodded again. "Should we… should we go now? Or give him time to cool off?"
"I don't think that he wants to talk about it right now, and it doesn't look like Patton does either, going off of how he's acting. He does know that he didn't cause all of this, right?"
"I dunno. Patton?" Virgil asked, looking over at Patton. "You know it's not your fault, right?"
Patton sighed and looked at Virgil. "I know that his childhood issues aren't my fault, but I still hurt him…"
"I really don't think it was your fault… He was the one who brought it up, and I'm the one who pushed him."
"It's not even that… It's my fault for trying to help him with all of this when he clearly didn't want help due to his past…"
Virgil sighed. "He's clearly willing to try some. I mean, he's accepted you as a romantic partner. That's huge for him. He just… needs some time to process. I don't think he thinks he'll be a good partner, which is why he's on edge."
"I know that we're dating now, and I'm surprised that he even accepted… I know that he feels that way, and I know why… I'm just giving off the impression that I want to change him, explaining feelings and such so much… That has to be a reason… I love him for who he is, and yet, I'm giving off the impression that he needs to change…"
"Maybe, maybe not. We can't be sure unless he tells us. I think he's frustrated with himself and confused because he wants to make you happy and doesn't think he can do it."
"Again, because I'm giving him that impression… I just got carried away in finally being useful for once in a lifetime that I must've forgotten to make sure that I'm not accidentally implying that he needs to change."
Virgil sighed. "We just have to make sure he knows that he doesn't have to change his whole being just to be a stereotypically good boyfriend, alright? Let's not worry about blame."
"I'm not sure how to do that, and I'm trying to get him to understand that there's no such thing as a stereotypically good boyfriend, but even so. We have to find some way to do that, though."
"I'm going out. I'll return at some point." Logan suddenly came out of his room with his car keys in hand. Before anyone could stop him, he went out the door and left.
"Logan…!!!!" Patton called after him, trying to grab him and stop him, but failing, and then sighing. "I don't have a good feeling about what he might be doing…"
Virgil watched him go, growing worried as well. "I'm… sure he'll be fine. Where do you think he's going?"
"I… I don't know… I don't have a good feeling about where this mess is going to end up, though…"
Virgil sighed. "Logan is highly logical. I would be incredibly surprised if he did something irrational. Besides, he said he'd be back, right? We don't have much choice other than to wait for him to come back."
"I could only see him doing something like that because he feels like he needs to change… I mean, it would make sense that he feels like he needs to change after everything today… I hope that he'll be okay, though…"
"Hopefully he'll be fine. Let's watch a movie or something to get your mind off of it, yeah?" Virgil held out his hand to pull Patton down to the couch.
"Yeah, let's watch a movie… Maybe that will help with this…" Patton let Virgil pull him down to the couch so they could watch a movie together.
About half an hour into the movie, Logan returned and walked over to the couch. "I have purchased flowers." He held the bouquet out to Patton.
Patton smiled and took the bouquet, albeit quite surprised. "Logan, you didn't have to buy me flowers! Thank you!" He didn't feel like questioning reason at the moment.
Logan nodded and sat down beside Patton, watching the movie with a bored expression.
"We were just watching a movie after you left. We're glad that you're back now!" Patton said.
