"Yes, me too. I'm just glad I was able to do anything at all. I mean, I'm a medicine cat! What could I possibly know about flirting?" Finchpaw picked up the excess moss nests on the ground and put them into the moss pile.

"You don't have to 'know' to flirt to flirt, Finchpaw." Silverbrook said, "When I became a medicine cat apprentice I still flirted with Jaysong."

"I knew Jaysong since he was a kit so we were always friends. Once we became apprentice are paths split but that did not stop him from sneaking me out of camp at night! Yes, we got caught a few times but no one really thought we were in love because, well, I was a medicine cat apprentice! We were both young and crazy. Once we got are full names, we knew we had to stop seeing each other but Jaysong found a way! You wonder why he's always doing stupid things that gets him hurt? To see me! That's why we think he's an idiot."

"Wow, really? He still loves you! I thought it was a bit suspicious how similar you and Whitefire look… You must be his type." Finchpaw smirked slightly. "And he has been in here really often. And for simple things that he doesn't even need to be here for! Like getting scratched on a bit of bracken and 'not wanting it to get infected.'"

"And he just wants to be here." She pointed out. "I mean, the bracken thing he definitely didn't need herbs for, and he seemed really disappointed when I told him you were out. He's terrible at bluffing."

"For the last few visits he's been asking me for advice, manly for she-cats and I now why, but I really wish he can stop it, the clan cats are getting suspicious."

"True. Should we ask him to tone it down a bit? Or help him cover up?" (Oof how's he gonna react when she dies?)

"We should, but I know he wont listen."

"Yeah. So just help him, then? We can't have him giving it away, obviously."

"Oh, yeah! I'll be becoming a full medicine cat, right?"

"Sure! I don't see why not. I'll get the travelling herbs, just in case." Finchpaw gathered together little bundles of herbs and gave one to Silverbrook.

"Yep! I'm ready to go!" She ate the herbs and stood at attention, waiting to follow Silverbrook.

"Ok.." She muttered, eating hers quickly. Nodding to Snowface as the exited camp, she padded across the stream and into the Windclan territory.

"I love walking in the forest. So many smells, colors… it's just beautiful. What was that?" There was a rustling in the bushes. (Dun dun dun)

Finchpaw nodded, running behind Silverbrook to keep up and occasionally glancing back to see whether there was anything behind them.

"If we reach the moonpool before moonhigh, I know the beast will be gone!" She called back as she took a turn.

"Alright! Hopefully it was just a rabbit or something, though. After all, we are at the Windclan border." Finchpaw was hoping that it was true, but it sounded like they were being followed. She just kept going faster so that whatever it was couldn't get any closer.

Picking up their pace, they passed the fallen log and stream and the path to the moonpool could be seen from the top of the hill.

"We're almost there! I wonder if any of the others are there yet?" Finchpaw was panting a little bit. She didn't run often, as gathering herbs didn't usually need to be done in great haste and it wasn't her job to hunt or anything.
