Patton wasn't too surprised with Logan's confusion, and he eventually pulled away. "L-Lo… I-I know you're new to love… b-but… h-here's some advice… E-Expect a lot of… r-random hugs… a-and kisses… f-from me… a-and… feel free… t-to… hug or kiss back…"
Logan nodded. "Er… Alright, Patton. That… that's a good thing, correct?" He asked, still sounding confused.
"Y-Yeah… t-that's a good thing… I-It's always a good thing… I-It's how most people show affection for somehow…" Patton said.
Logan nodded again. "Alright… well, logistically speaking, since we both seem to have romantic attraction to one another, does that make us a 'couple'?"
"Y-Yes…!!!" Patton said. All he wanted since the day that he met Logan was to be in a relationship with him. "I-I've wanted this… f-for so long…"
"Well, I'm… glad to fulfill your desires, I suppose? My apologies for being inexperienced when it comes to emotions…"
"N-No… i-it's okay… I-I'll help you out… Y-You'll learn… I-I promise…"
Logan nodded and stood up. "Well, should we go join the others?" He asked, holding his hand out to Patton.
"Y-Yeah, we probably should…" Patton said, grabbing Logan's hand
Logan walked out into the living room with Patton. Virgil looked up and grinned when he saw them holding hands.
"Hey, everybody! I-I'd like to say that.. Logan and I… are dating now…" There was no use in trying to hide the relationship.
Virgil clapped, still grinning. "Thank you for stating the obvious, Patton. Very exciting, though. Don't get me wrong."
"I just had to tell you guys, even if it is quite obvious that we are together, because I am just so happy to be with him!" Patton said.
"Well, I'm excited for you two. It's nice to see Logan showing some emotion for once." Logan rolled his eyes, but didn't reply.
"Virgil, he's going to be showing his emotions a lot more from now on, because I'm going to help him and love him forever!" Patton said.
Logan covered his face with his free hand. "Patton, 'a lot' more emotion might be a tad bit of an overstatement… I mean, I'm going to try, but I'm still not a very emotional person."
"I never said that you were, Logan… I'm still going to get you to show and understand emotions a lot better!" Patton said.
Logan sighed softly. "Alright, alright… I'll try my best." Virgil snickered a bit, clearly amused. "I never thought I'd see the day."
"I'll do anything to help you out, Lo!" Patton said, telling the truth with all of that, always wanting to help Logan when he needs it.
"Thanks, Patton…" Logan sighed. "Well, you two lovebirds have fun." Virgil laughed, nudging Roman a bit.
"You're welcome, Logan!" Patton said, smiling softly and sincerely, proving all of his words to be true.
"So… what do 'couples' do?" Logan asked curiously.
"Oh, they go on dates, which could be anything from just simply hanging out to going somewhere, as long as it's just the two of them, and they show a lot of affection, and they're always there for each other," Patton said.
Logan nodded. "What do you mean by 'affection'?" He asked, still clearly confused.
"Affection, love, wanting to be near the person that you love and showing it, usually in hugs and kisses or saying 'I love you'," Patton said.
"Oh… do you do that all the time or just on 'dates'?" He asked, cocking his head to the side a bit in confusion.
"You can show affection as much as you like! It's shown a lot during everyday life, actually!" Patton said.
"Why?" Logan asked curiously. Virgil watched the interaction, struggling immensely to not start chuckling again.
(I was talking to my girlfriend on the phone until getting yelled at and getting my phone threatened to be taken for "being loud", yet my younger sister's on the phone being just as loud… I love how everything I do is illegal after a certain point…)
"To show that you care! To show that you love them! It's a common desire to show affection towards the ones you love, anyway!" Patton said.
