Meg shook her head with a soft chuckle. ”If he was like me, he wouldn't have had any friends. You’re the first friend I’ve had since… I started seeing Wesen.” she told him, blushing faintly. ”I have people I know but I can't… let them in. I can't talk about this to anyone without them calling me insane.”
"Don't be so hard on yourself." he chided her as he put the book gently down "I can imagine it's not easy being a Grimm. not able to tell anyone the truth and being feared by Wesen…." he trailed off "Alright I'm training coach." he told her with a little grin
Meg smiled at his understanding, glad that he could and nodded. ”Alright.” she grinned back and opened the closet of weapons. ”Aside from the kanabo, do you know how to use any of these?” she asked as she showed him the weapons.
"well yeah the simpler ones." he told Meg as he picked a small blade from the wall and clicked a button, separating the single blade into three smaller ones
”Fair enough. I’m not sure I qualify as an expert in any of this.” she nodded, watching him trigger the three-bladed knife. She smiled picking up a collapsible crossbow. ”Though I think my dad tried the Miyagi method of teaching for a couple of weapons… How’s your aim?”
(oh shoot sorry this didn't show in my inbox)
"You better believe I know how to shoot living down south in my early life." he chuckled "never shot a crossbow though…a regular bow sure." Theo explained as he remembered he and his brothers having airsoft 'wars', or going to shoot targets and cans with actual guns when they were older.
She chuckled a little, nodding with him. ”Fair enough. A crossbow isn't too different from a gun, really.” Meg told him. ”The trickiest part is loading the bolt… Especially when you try to do it fast.”
"Interesting…and these bolts…how do they differ from arrows you'd fire from a bow?" he asked genuinely curious
”They’re a lot smaller.” she smirked, picking up one to show him. ”I think normally they’re a little more than half the length but I actually have two crossbows. This one is smaller so it's easier to conceal.” she explained.
The bolt she picked up was probably about four inches long and the fetching on the back was slimmer the feathers on an arrow.
"interesting…well I suppose now you're the teacher. Teach away Meg." He smiled and then asked "are we gonna go shoot them?"
”Sure.” she shrugged briefly. ”Let’s take the shooting practice out back. I don't wanna break anything in here plus I don't have any nosy neighbors.” she joked, picking up a small bag that held the extra shots.
"neato!" Theo said as he helped her the best he could. "Can't be too much harder than a bow or gun" (sorry I've been working a lot)
Meg smiled, nodding as she lead him back out of the room. ”It’s really not. It has a safety and trigger just like a gun, and it's just as easy as ”point and shoot”… Though like a bow you do have to accommodate with the weather.” she admitted.
(It's ok. I know work is hard right now.)
(Just in case this RP isn't dead, I thought I'd let you know; I’m going on a camping trip with my family later today and won't be back until the end of the month. I'll still try to get on and reply when I can, it just won't be very often.)
(hey well if you read my newest post you'll be able to see why i was gone.)
(What post? Sorry, I’m not finding it.)
(Either way, I'm glad to see you again.)
been gone a while huh?
So um first of all sorry to all my partners. I did not die and i feel kinda bad for disappearing.
so um…my folks are not the best people and since i'm not the "proper straight christian" i found myself without a home for a good while until my good friend got me a room in his friend's home. I have four roommates that have become very dear friends and now that i got a job and an actual home i'll be here now. I'm back and here to stay and ready for some rps. oop I got a lot more character in my brain here that deserve to be but out into this site so i think it's writing time finally!
Oh, wow! I’m sorry that things were so bad for you for so long. That's pretty terrible. But I'm glad that everything turned around and is better for you now.
(Well I'm good to continue if you'll let me)
(Sure! I’d love to keep this going!)
(yay! okay i'll respond!)
He nodded and followed his Grimm friend out to go shoot the crossbow "Yeah my brothers and I definitely had our fair share of wind mishaps with a lot of missing arrows" he chuckled a bit at the memories
Meg nodded with a soft chuckle. “Did you and your family have to search for them afterward?” she asked, remembering the number of times that she had to do that.
