Lia's two younger sister giggled themselves giddy when she let them do her makeup before she left. Arista happened to be really good with it, and she still kept Aurelia looking natural, like herself. She placed her province's flower in her hair, and Lia let Alanna braid her hair loosely.
She said goodbye to her family, hugging them each individually.
"Aurelia, I know this is a really big step," her grandfather told her. In Lia's life, her grandfather was her role model, and she listened to him always. "But just keep in mind who you are. Don't forget where you came from."
Lia nodded. "I love you all," she said, walking out the door. She was met with a crowd of people, most she didn't even know. They congratulated her, and some girls even looked envious. She boarded the train that would take her to her flight. She was excited, but still nervous. And still in disbelief.
She looked at the outfit. Its casual and well its…….. cute? She thought to herself. It wasn't something she would wear normally but it would have to do. She quickly bought the outfit and rushed home and changed into it. Then she started packing her things and made arrangements with the Maid Joanna.
Flare made sure everything was packed and boarded the train. She was worried that her creations would be hurt, but there was no point worrying about it now. Still it never hurt to be wary, and oh who was she kidding this is crazy!
She sighed once she was all packed up I look ok if I say so myself. She thought before saying goodbye to her father. Don't forget who are and…… don't forget me. Those words rang in her mind. She gave one last look at her home before venturing out. Once she was at the jet, there was MANY people there (Seperate jets or like a bus?)
Asher was bored, as he didn't even want to marry anyways. But apparently he had to for 'Royal Reasons' whatever that meant.
(There are about 4 to 5 girls in each jet. They just go in separate buses to get to the jets. Once they get off the jets, they go in a fancy car thing to the castle, where they will all meet in the Women's Room)
( OK thanks.)
Zoe looked back at the crowd behind her. Her entire village was there cheering her on, including some people she didn't know. She gave one last smile before going into the jet with her ( bags?)
(I believe so. Most clothes and things are provided, it's mostly personal things, like sheet music and inventions.)
( So like will there be other girls on it and does it look like a regular jet?)
(Hey I'm here, what kind of clothes do they wear to meet the prince?)
(So @Nerd_Girl2.0, there are about three other girls on the jet, and I believe it does look like a regular jet. Nothing really special about it, in the books, all it says is that they fly on jets to go to Angeles.
@santanna, the girls do not meet the prince the first day, they meet him at breakfast the second day they are there, and he will speak to them all individually just to meet them. They are all assigned three maids, who help design their clothes and keep the girls company in their rooms. So, when the girls first meet the prince, they will be wearing gowns that the maids had fashioned for them.
During the first day they are there, the palace servants will make the girls look pretty, like curl, cut, or dye their hair, paint their nails, other stuff like that. They will get assigned their rooms, which, for 2-3 and some fours, looks like a normal room. For some fours and fives, they look huge and magnificent. They will speak to Sylvia (unless @kwamichild, it's someone else) and she will tell them the general rules of the Selection.)
(that's helpful thx, um so should I be getting ready?)
(just say you are getting on the jet that will take you to the palace. There, some other girls can meet you. [since there are only seven of us, we can take two separate jets]. You can have your character say goodbye to her family, too.)
(ookie dokie, but my character has no family….rip.)
(Then just do what I did. Get them to the jet)
Flare got off the train and boarded the jet. They're were so many people their to see her off, and almost all of her family wished her farewell there.
(@ShadeStar, is it alright if Lia is on the same jet as Flare?)
My life is about to change. Willow thought as she stood in view of the jet. She smiled hopefully and walked towards the jet, suitcases in hand;
one for clothes, and one for art. She entered through the narrow door and smiled shyly at the other girls.
Aurelia walked into the jet, already finding one girl had made it. Not really caring what the other girl though, Lia sat down next to her. "Hello, I'm Aurelia," she said simply.
"And I'm Flare," she responded.
"Where are you from?" Lia asked. "I'm from Sonage."
( Hey hey hey, mind if I jump in along with you guys?)
(Don't mind at all, hop in!)
(Sorry this is really long, just making up for all that I missed - btw (1) the Southern Rebels are the violent ones, (2) idk about the jet situation, so she is just going to get on, and (3) Louane is just a fill-in character.)
Corinthia shuffled her papers, making sure that everything was in its place. She had changed into a nice pair of black dress pants and a simple white blouse. She's put on red lipstick, the only makeup that she wore, that matched the shade of the rose in her hair. She touched it delicately, afraid that her poisonous touch would soil its perfect beauty. She took in a deep breath. She would remember what this room, this house, this province smelled like when she was in the palace. All too soon, the moment ended.
"Lady Corinthia? Are you ready?" Her escort asked from the hall.
Corinthia exhaled. "Yes," she replied steadily, gripping the handle of her suitcase tightly. She was about to compete in the Selection! She walked down the stairs and hugged her mother and father goodbye. "I'll miss you," Corinthia could feel her eyes tearing up, and she blinked quickly.
"We'll miss you too. Now, go! You don't want to be late on your first day!" Her father teased.
"You'll do us proud. We know you will." Her mother reassured her. She dabbed her eyes quickly and waved, along with her father. Mirabelle was her final obstacle. She stood in the doorway, hands on her hips and a sour expression on her face. Corinthia panicked. Was Mirabelle mad at her for leaving? Just then, her sister's face burst into a huge smile, and she flung herself at her sister, nearly knocking her over. Both girls jittered with laughter.
"Promise that you'll write to us!" Mirabelle whispered in her ear.
"I promise," Corinthia whispered back. She let go of Mirabelle and waved goodbye to her family once more. She wasn't sure how long it would be until she saw them again.
AT THE PLATFORM
"Lady Corinthia," her escort gestured for her to get out of the car, and Corinthia was met with a healthy mix of cheers, scowls, and whistles. Corinthia did her best to smile and wave the entire time, knowing that the cameras were catching her every move. She climbed aboard the jet (idk) and was surprised to see all of the other girls waiting for her.
"Am… Am I late?" She asked, suddenly nervous about… everything!
A girl with wild red hair touched her shoulder, smiling. "No sweat! I'm Louane, by the way. From Kent."
"Corinthia," Corinthia said automatically, extending her hand to shake, "Waverly."
"Yeah, I know. You're already a crowd favorite!"
"I am?"
"Yeah, come on," Louane sat down and patted the seat beside her, "no one is sitting here."
(i'll prob be back tomorrow or later)
Zoe looked around the jet. Just act normal. She reminded herself and took a death breath. She hoped the girls didn't mind a little camo as she sat down. "Hey, I'm Zoe." She greeted with a thick british accent.
