"Well, gee, y'all just broke into a top-secret lab, and will probably reveal this place to the world, which means that our criminal capture rate will go down," Sam said sarcastically.

"I broke into nothing! You led me here," Isaiah frowned. "You could just do… something other than the smoke around our necks!"

"Not you, idiot. The girl," Sam said, keeping the smoke warily around Isaiah's and Jackson's necks. (sam still thinks that they're criminals)

She sighed and ran straight at San, sliding to the side a little at the end so she rammed into them with her shoulder. She skidded to a stop just past them. “Ow.”

"Well, then leave if you mean to do nothing," Sam said frustrated, when Ceri rammed into them. "Ow! What the fuck!" They spun a bit of golden mist in the air and pressed it to their shoulder, using a water bottle to catch as much black smoke that leaked out of the wound as they possibly could.

“Jesus, what is that?” She asked, staring. “Besides, I am here to do something. It’s not to break up your freaky science future shit if thst what you mean.”

Sam pressed their fingers together and 'drew' the black smoke out of the bottle with a flourish. "Then why? God, I feel like we're just running in circles here,"

“I was running in circles,” she muttered, catching her breath. “You’ve got powers. I’ve got powers. You might know why.”

"CAN WE ALL CALM DOWN?!!" Isaiah shouted.

"Fine," Sam said, sighing. "But you two keep the collars- wow, that sounds kinky,"

“Getting dominant, hmm?” She laughed, sitting down onto the ground.

"M'kay. Fine with me. When are you going to start annoying me by flirting?" Isaiah asked trying to change the subject.

"Oh, so you want me to?" Sam laughed, chucking his chin up slightly. (lmao, sam's a shortass, imagine them standing on tiptoe to do so. no wait but they're wearing combat wedges, so…idk. mostly for the purpose of looking tall)

“Okayyy,” Ceri announced loudly. “I’m going to interrupt your flirting and ask you to answer my question now.”

"What's your question?" Isaiah asked wrapping his arm around Sam.

Sam shoved him off playfully, blowing harmless white-gray smoke in his eyes. "Leave, you sod, we're not even boyfriend and girlfriend!"

Not yet, Isaiah thought towards Sam. "Fine, whatever."

"Wait, or personfriend and… boyfriend? You identify as a guy, I'm guessing?" Sam asked, looking towards Isaiah, head cocked in a playful manner.

"Yeah," Isaiah turned to face Ceri. "What was your question?"

“If anyone knew how I got these powers,” she gestured with her hand, whipping it through the air and leaving a small crack on the ground from where she hit it.

"I can't help ya with that. Sorry," Isaiah shot a glare at Sam, who looked kinda interested in having a boyfriend.
