She giggled holding onto him tighly

”Enjoying yourself, Ms. Sawyer?” Evan asked teasingly.

"Why yes I am JD" she said in the same teasing tone

Evan chuckled and walked over to pick up the giant toy he won for her. ”You hungry? Or do you want to play another game?” he asked.

"Truth be told it's getting late and I should probably get back "she said

”Alright. If you want to, I can take you home.” Evan offered. ”You staying someplace nearby?”

" can I stay with you tonight somewhere please?" She asked

Evan looked at her in surprise for a moment before smiling and nodding. ”Of course you can.”

She smiled and kissed his cheek

Evan chuckled, blushing faintly. ”I… Umm. I flew to get here but I can get us a cab if you want.”

She shook her head "whatever you want to do" she said

”I can get a cab. I know how you feel about heights.” Evan gave her a soft smile as he took out his phone.

She smiled "Thank you ev" she said

”Ev?” he chuckled. ”I haven't heard that since we graduated.”

She giggled but then sighed " I think I should go check on Laurabeth"

”Ok.” Evan nodded. ”I can meet you at the main gate when the cab gets here if you still want to spend the night.” he offered.

She nodded " I'll be right back " she said before going to the parking lot

”Sure.” Evan smiled, giving her a small wave as she left.

She walked over with a smile when she saw lysander smiling with some girl as she flirted an old friend she guessed but as she saw the scene her heart broke

The girl may have been flirting but Lysander was not. Yes, he knew the girl… a little… From that year Betty spent in Australia but he never had any real interest in the girl in front of him. Laura-Beth had fallen asleep and was buckled in.

”As nice as it was to see you again, Haley, I’m just waiting for the rest of my family to come back.” he said, looking around for any one of them to show up and save him

She took a deep breath tears coming to her eyes she walked over over to them reaching in the car

Lysander sighed happily as he saw Betty approaching. ”Hey… What’s wrong?” he said in concern when he saw her tears.

She ignored him reaching in and pulling out out her crystal necklace

”Betty, what’s wrong?” he asked again, gently but worried. ”Did Evan say something?”

She turned to the girl with a sweet smile " hi are you his girlfriend?"

Haley blushed and looked at the two of them. ”I don't know if I would go that far.”

”No. She's not my girlfriend.” Lysander defended. ”Honestly, this is only my second time meeting her.”

"What a shame she really is a lovely girl". She said to lysander

Haley smiled at her. ”Well, thank you. That's very sweet of you to say.”

”She may be but I am married to you.” Lysander said, a little insistent. ”I love you.”

She looked at him. In shock before looking away

He sighed a little and looked at Haley. ”It was nice to see you again, Haley, but I need to talk to my wife… Alone.”

Haley nodded. ”Yeah, nice seeing you too. And nice to meet you, Mrs. Castevau.” she waved at Betty because walking away.
