"oh so you know your solo song freeze your brain well over there is the shop to get the slushies that you're singing about 2 and go get one please please please!" She begged

He laughed and nodded. ”Alright. Let's get two of the largest one they have!” he dared, leading her to the shop. ”What flavor do you want?”

"cherry" she said clinging onto him

Evan nodded and looked at the cashier. ”One large cherry and one large blueberry, please.”

Betty smiled as the bell chimned signaling there was a customer and it happened to be her family

”I still feel bad about not following her.” Lysander said softly, still cradling Laura-Beth.

Henry sighed. ”You’re not helping anyone feel better.” he looked at Tyler. It was her idea to come here.

"We can have fun without her "Tyler said.

Betty giggled and took a long sip

Lysander gave Tyler a light glare. ”Maybe you can.” he said a little angrily before looking away. ”Betty?” he said in surprise.

She didn't hear him as she had her head leanoned on Evans bicep slurping her drink

Lysander stared at the two of them in near shock.

Evan smiled at Betty before looking up and nearly choking on his drink. ”Uh… Betty? You could have told me your family was here…”

"Evan it's fine ok? Were gonna be married we're gonna be close" she said

Evan blushed at the reminder and glanced at Lysander before looking back at her. ”I know that. I just didn't expect to see… well all of them.”

”Surprising to see you too, frère.” Lysander said almost coldly.

"for crying out loud " she said resting her forehead on Evans chest

”You said it.” Henry sighed, rubbing his forehead at the two fighting.

Evan gave a small smile at Betty and hugged her against him.

She wrapped her arms around him loosely

Lysander clenched his jaw at the gesture, trying to stay calm.

Evan was tempted to kiss her but held back in front of her family.

She looked up at Evan with a smile from his eyes to his lips back to his eyes

Evan smiled happily back at her. ”So, how has everyone been?”

"Good good " she hummed taking a sip getting red liquid on her lips

Evan chuckled at her lips knowing the blue from his drink probably made him look like a frostbitten ghost.

Lysander nodded in agreement. ”We just found out we’re going to have another child.” he said calmly, though his lips twitched happily at the reminder.

”Tyler recently proposed. So we're going to be married.” Henry smiled, hoping that the fact didn't scare Tyler.

Betty smiled "see we've all been good" she said

”Yeah, seems like it.” Evan grinned. ”And congratulations to both of you.”

She giggled and slurped her slushy again

”Thank you.” Lysander nodded, looking away from them and focusing instead on Laura-Beth; who was watching her mama and the pale stranger curiously.

Evan chuckled at Betty. ”Explains why you're so giggly.” he teased as he poked her side to tickle her.

"no no no" she said pushing his wrist away with more giggles

Evan smirked mischievously but relented and instead held her hand. ”Alright.” he nodded. ”Don't want to spill our drinks, anyway.” he chuckled.

"here's the keys" she said handing the car keys to Lysander " im sure Evan can give me a ride back"

”I’m sure he can.” Lysander agreed with a slight growl in his voice as he grabbed the keys. It was surprising his eyes hadn't turned red yet, though they darkened a little. He turned away and looked at Henry, who understood the silent message, before walking away from the group.

She pulled Evan out back into the festival

Evan cast a slightly worried glance at Lysander as he left before laughing as Betty pulled him along. ”Where to next?”

Henry shook his head with a sigh and looked at Tyler. ”Does she know what she's doing?”
