Charlie hissed at the gem. “Well you can’t have him!” she scowled as Ink nodded. “Yeah! You’re going to have to get through us first!” the skeleton added.

“Ooh, that so~? Well, if that’s whatcha want!” She grinned, coiling her legs into a spring and pouncing at them. Landing beside the group, she twirled her weapon around herself with frightening skill. It was probably a good idea to run.

“Steven, go!” Charlie yelled as the hybrid nodded. He ran off in one direction, with the princess and skeleton following him. Charlie was close behind while Ink considered making something to slow Spinel down.

She jumped over the two, the scythe crackling menacingly as she landed in front of Steven with a psychotic grin. "Say goodbye, mister Universe!" She cackled, raising her weapon and bringing it down on him!

Steven held his arms up and groaned when the scythe hit him. However, when he didn’t poof, he was relieved. “Oh yeah-“ he remembered. He tried to summon a shield but it fizzled out before forming. Charlie and Ink looked in shock.

“What the…?!”

Cordelia flinched as the Gem passed her, and she nearly managed to avoid the scythe of hers. She rolled her eyes at Okami's comment. "You really want to be killed, don't you?" She asked with a huff.

She then watched helplessly as Spinel hit Steven with her scythe and when it didn't do anything, she frowned. From what she saw if the scythe hit a gem, they poofed…and it was clear that Steven wasn't a normal human. A bit more of a hybrid, if she was being honest. A gem hybrid? That would make sense.

"This can't be good…." Cordelia said as she made her way toward Spinel. She would try to disarm her once again, so somebody could take the weapon away from her and…well…poof her.

“Thought so…” She chuckled upon seeing that Steven didn’t dissipate. “Well, no worries, you’ll be begging for help soon enough, and your pwecious fwiends won’t be able to!” The Gem leaned on the weapon as she talked to Steven. She wasn’t paying any mind to Cordelia, simply focusing on threatening the hybrid in front of her.

Seeing the chance, Okami pounced on Spinel and ripped her scythe out of her hands.

"The scythe! Hit Pinky with it!" Cordelia said, as ropes came out of her wand and tied themselves around Spinel. "I dare you to try to get out of them," She said with a smirk. "You won't. I've been playing around with this spell, up to the point where you can't use magic, or your natural abilities to get out."

Taking the wizard's cue, Okami sliced through Spinel's neck with the scythe she had stolen from her.

She looked surprised at first as the scythe was yanked out of her grip, but once she realized what was going on, she simply started to laugh hysterically. Because of the attack to her throat, her head started to slide off before she disappeared in a pink cloud. The heart-shaped gem fell to the ground, a glow quickly fading away…

(I wanted to be sure before I wrote anything)

Five teenagers were watching this from a distance. They managed to not be seen the entire time, and they were definitely confused. They walked over to the others once everything was over, still wondering what had even happened in the first place.

Steven quickly grabbed Spinel’s gem. “My powers aren’t working so I can’t bubble her,” he sighed. “We’ll just have to carry her around,” Charlie tried to reassure him after her and Ink walked over to the group.
