"I think so…" Ira mumbled, stepping out with him. After a couple of shaky steps, she started to gain her balance. But she was still clinging on to Raven rather tightly. "It's been a lot longer than I thought…"
"I think so…" Ira mumbled, stepping out with him. After a couple of shaky steps, she started to gain her balance. But she was still clinging on to Raven rather tightly. "It's been a lot longer than I thought…"
"Clearly-" he cleared his throat. "I mean it's okay. Just hold on." Raven held her hands and began to skate backwards. "If you fall I'll catch okay? Never lean back because you always want to land on your hands never your back. Don't want to break any bones."
Ira rolled her eyes at his comment, pulling up a light smile. "Oh whatever. It's hard to compare to you, Mr. Perfect." She hummed lightly, gaining her full balance as they skated along. "And got it. It'd be quite unfortunate if I broke any bones today."
"Yeah. Like I said I'm not Mr.Perfect when it comes to you. Remember our first date that was a disaster it started raining right before I kissed you. Then your heal broke you almost got hit by car and you skinned your knee. Whenever you come into the picture I get all nervous and jittery. My back starts to sweat and then I always mess up some how. I want you to see the best sides of me. I mean you've already seen the worst. I just….I really want to please you and not get scolded by your father while doing so." He smiled lightly. "I said to much." He sighed. "I want to curl up into a ball right now."
"Hey," Ira started softly, pulling his hand up to kiss the back of it. "That's in the past. So you had a hard time, one time. It's not the end of the world, love. Remember what else happened that night? After our reservations got cancelled, we headed to the park and sat under the stars. That's the part I always choose to remember. I know it started raining right after, but it was beautiful while it lasted." She gave him a relaxed smile, still gliding along the ice.
“If you say so, then I’ll believe it. You think you got the hang of it?” He asked. “I used to do lessons because of my sisters, but I think I might be a little rusty since I haven’t hand a competition.”
"I mean… I can stay upright. I can't do anything fancy, though." Ira hummed lightly giving him a smile. She was happy, hoping he was really alright. "But if you know tricks, please show off."
“Nah, I’d probably fall. Like I said I haven’t done skating in like forever. 14 years?” He laughed. “Trust me.”
"Alright, I just thought I'd offer. I really do like it, when you try to impress me. You're pretty cute when you do." Ira smirked a little, trying to keep back a laugh. "But if you're offended by cute, I can go off a billion other words to describe you."
“Why would I ever be offended by the things you say. “He kissed her cheek a few times. “Let me see what I can do. If I fall you know why. Hold onto the wall okay? Raven smiled.
"Alright, alright." Ira laughed lightly, resting a hand on the wall. Pulling herself close, and stabling herself, she gave him a light smile. "Show me what you've got. I bet you'll surprise me."
Raven shook his head and started to skate backward he did a couple flips landing on one foot. He started to spin around leaving marks on the ice. He held his skate out as he spun on the leg and then came back up. He started to skate slowly again then coming back to Ira. “That was hard.” He panted.
"Was it now? You made it look easy." Ira smirked a little, pushing off the wall and met him halfway. "But then again, you my dear, make a lot of things look easy." Reaching out for his hands, she pulled them close and rested them on her hips.
“I do like what?” He asked smirked. Rave kissed her lips. “I never knew that.”
"Don't try to play innocent. You know exactly what I'm talking about." Ira hummed, kissing him in return. Slipping her arms over his shoulders, she kept close to him. "You're an excellent cook, and you know how to do hair and makeup. You're kisses are addicting. Is there anything you can't do?"
“Marry another women. No one else can make me feel like I’m on top of the world.” Raven kissed her cheek. “And I don’t ever plan to find out.”
"Mm, I'll accept that one. I don't want to lose you to anyone." Smiling softly, Ira pecked his lips in return. "You're my Mr. Perfect. No one else's, darling."
“That’s right, I’m only yours.” Raven pecked him lips and started to slowly pull her off the wall. “Hope you’re ready. I’ll go a little bit faster this time.”
"I think I can handle it, love." Ira smiled lightly, keeping balance when pulled away. She seemed pretty stable, and was holding his hands loosely.
“Wanna try it without me? Move your feet out. Don’t try to walk on the ice.” Raven chuckled. “I learned that the hard way.”
"I mean- I can. Just… don't go too far." Ira told him hesitantly, giving a light smile as she prepared herself. "I doubt you'd be able to catch me if I fell, but it's a reassuring thought."
“Hey, I will always catch you if you fall,” Raven slowly let go of her hands slowly. “Reach coward to me if you don’t feel balanced okay?”
Nodding lightly, she wobbled for a few seconds before regaining her balance. "I think I got it… maybe?" Ira mumbled, gently pushing off the ice to keep in motion.
"Don't force it or else you'll fall and you won't be able to walk down the isle of our wedding." Raven joked. He watched Ira closing making sure to catch her if there was even a slight chance she might fall. "So, how has your week been. I know getting married is pretty sudden. I know it has to do with me wanting a baby, but besides that. Any problems?"
"Umm… well I feel awful for keeping secrets from you." Ira stated simply, trying to focus on both balancing and talking at the same time. "Y'know… about— all of that. But, um… it's been wonderful, besides that." She replied in a soft tone, seeming to be catching on better.
(Our power just went out I might not be about to respond unless I'm out of the house so yeah don't worry if I'm gone for a couple of days lol)
”Yes, I know. But I mean your feet are fine so that means I took your mind off of you on the ice.” Raven smiled. ”One question I have.”
(It's all good! I hope you're safe :3)
Ira laughed softly, realizing what he had said was true. "What's that, darling?" She asked in a hum, pushing forwards on the ice.
(Power's back! Yeah, everyone is fine just a couple tress knocked down :)
"How had your family been coping with all of this?" Raven asked. "I know this is sudden so, what's been going on, on your side?" Raven realized that what he asked was a sensitive topic. "I mean, only if you want to tell me. You don't have to."
(Alright, good! I'm glad to hear that aha :)
Ira let out a soft sigh, looking up at him. "I'm gonna be honest with you— my father isn't happy. He thinks I'm making a mistake." She replied pretty bluntly. "But," Giving him a soft smile, she was reaching out to take his hand. "I don't think I am. I'm sure this is what I want. I'm not regretting it."
"One day your father and I will have a great relationship…probably. Do you know if he's here yet? I know I probably shouldn't, but I would like to say hi to him." Raven laughed lightly.
