Jay stayed snuggled close.

The social worker walked in only a few minutes later.

Jay opened his eyes when he heard footsteps, blinking at the social worker.

She smiled at him. Finn was still asleep. “Hello Jay. I set everything up and you should be able to leave whenever you are ready. I also arranged it so you can stop by your house to pick up some things if you need. Your father is in custody so you don't have to worry about him.”

Jay blinked. "That was…that was fast." he replied with a little smile. "Thank you."

“It wasn’t that hard with your statement. The tricky part is keeping him away and putting him in prison. He won’t plead guilty so there will be a trial,” she said keeping her voice soft.

He nodded a little bit. "Yeah. I…I know." he replied softly, looking at Finn for a moment, then the social worker.

Finn shifted and slowly opened his eyes. “I’ll leave you two to get ready. I’ll be right outside,” she said.

He nodded again. "Alright. Thank you."

Finn woke up fully and stretch. “Hmm what did she say?” He asked.

"Dad's in jail, and I can get stuff from the house before going…wherever I'm going."

He nodded. “Do you want me to see if I can drive you?” He asked.

He nodded a little. "Yes please."

He nodded. “Ok you get ready to leave I’ll be right back,” he said standing up.

He nodded, and started getting ready to go.

Finn came back a few minutes later. “She agreed to meet us at your house but I can still drive you everywhere.

Jay nodded again. "Alright." he replied. "Thank you."

“It’s no problem Love,” he whispered kissing his cheek again. “Come on We better get going.

He smiled softly. "Alright. I love you."

“I love you too,” he said standing next to the bed.

He stood, taking Finn's hand.

Finn took his hand and walked out of the room. The social worker was already gone and filled out the paperwork for Jay. Finn brought him to his car.

Jay got.in the car, letting out a breath. "Your…your aunt. Is she… going to be mad at you?" He asked slowly.

Finn shook his head. "She hasn't noticed that I wasn't home yet but if she somehow finds out I already have an excuse planned. There was a birthday party for one of my teammates last night. I convinced them to say I was there and then slept over. My aunt will think I'm just trying to keep up appearances."

He bit his lip a little bit, then nodded. "Oh. Okay." He replied, kissing Finn's cheek. "I'm sorry for all the trouble."

"It's nothing baby," He whispered kissing his cheek before opening the passenger door for him.

He got into the car, taking a deep breath.

Finn closed the door and sat at the driver's seat. He started the car and drove off.
