"Except the leg part," He got up and looked around for some tall large leaves, then wrapped the fish in them and looked at Liz.
"We need to make a barrier for that cave of yours too,"
"Except the leg part," He got up and looked around for some tall large leaves, then wrapped the fish in them and looked at Liz.
"We need to make a barrier for that cave of yours too,"
”I was thinking we could use some branches to disguise it.” she told him. It may have been an overly simple option but it seemed like the only thing they could do. Even if it only worked for visual defense.
"True, and we could see whether they will eat the fish." He nodded before walking near the beach and grabbing some driftwood.
"Come on,"
”Assuming they have a similar biology to ours.” she agreed as she walked over to help him with the wood. ”You said you thought there was something special about the water… Any ideas on what it might be?” she asked, already figuring that it could be magic in some way.
"I don't know… Like, rejuvenating magic… I think," He said hesitantly as he moved it near the cave then grabbed a big, sharp rock and broke the wood into three bits. He then went to the large grass and fibres and tied up the wood into a frame. Leaning it against the cave entrance and sticking it into the ground.
"Now we just leaves and branches to cover the frame."
(I assume this isn’t open anymore.)
Liz nodded and started to gather some nearby branches that they could use for the shelter. ”That’s pretty interesting.” she commented, glancing back at the water before bringing the branches back to the site. She had to bite her lip a little to keep from making a ”Fountain of Youth” joke.
('m not sure actually, Fanatic, what do you think?)
"I suppose we should quickly finish this before having a swim. We only have 2 hours of sunlight."
(I don't mind if he/they wants to join. It's your RP, so final call is yours.)
”Yes, sir.” Liz smiled at him as he mentioned swimming and helped him work on the camouflage. She did blush a little at one small detail about getting into the water… As far as she was aware, neither of them were wearing a swimsuit.
(well then sure, you may join.)
"Great work Lieutenant," He grinned before opening his mouth then closing it. Coughing lightly.
"It seems I have forgotten about our, uh swim clothes…"
Liz giggled a little, as her blush darkened a little. ”I didn't.” she said a little softly. ”Don’t worry, Commander. I wasn't suggesting that we…” she paused for the right words but for some reason couldn't find them. Maybe it was because of how much she liked and respected him that caused her words to falter.
"That we?" He took a step forward and brushed away her hair from her face as he looked into her eyes.
She would swear her heart skipped a beat or two at the gesture and her face heated up more. ”That we…” she said softly, ”do anything… indecent.” she finally told him. ”Obviously swimming in our clothes isn't the best idea but we don't have to take everything off.”
"Of course," He chuckled and kissed her.
"Whatever you want, I don't mind,"
She sighed softly into the kiss, feeling herself melt as she was able to relax and calm down from the almost awkward moment. ”Ok.” she smiled at him.
James smiled back,
"Should we get ready for the dip in the lake or do you just want to stare into my eyes?" He smirked.
Liz shook her head, laughing a little. ”Can I help that your eyes are so captivating?” she asked going back to her familiar playful teasing. ”If you think the camp is ready enough for the night, then I'm up for that swim.” she smirked.
"I mean, for bedding, we could go find some soft grass and leaves, other than that, no, not really," He thought for a moment before answering.
She nodded. ”I think I saw some tall grass a little ways over there that we can cover with the leaves you found to wrap the fish in.” she told him. ”It probably wouldn't be much but it should work.”
"Then let's go and quickly get that done," He nodded before holding her hand warmly and walking to the stalks of tall grass.
She smiled and walked with him, gently running her thumb against his knuckles. ”Do you think we can actually use our magic here?” she asked as she looked at the grass.
"Perhaps, we can only try and see," He shrugged before beginning to collect the grass.
”And hope it doesn't affect us or anything around us on the ship when we wake up.” She nodded, adding her sudden thought. She regretted that they had to let go of each other in order to gather the grass but the sooner they finished the sooner they can hold hands again.
"Hopefully," He muttered, making as many piles of grass as possible and tying them up.
She sighed a little at his comment and tied up another armful of grass together.
A few minutes later, James got up with a few piles of grass and glanced at Liz.
"I think this should be enough,"
”Alright.” Liz nodded and stretched out before gathering up her bundles of grass. ”At least that swim will help us loosen up, otherwise my back would be soo stiff in the morning.” she said as she walked over to James.
"Yeah, it's 'rejuvenating' after all," He chuckled as they reached the cave, James went inside and made the beddings with grass before coming out.
"Everything is done then?"
She smiled at him and nodded, looking at the shelter they put together. ”I think that's everything.” she agreed. “Ready to go swimming?”
