He winced. “Well..” he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, avoiding Kyle’s gaze. “Let’s just say that there’s multiple other reasons why I didn’t tell you I was Dark..”
He winced. “Well..” he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, avoiding Kyle’s gaze. “Let’s just say that there’s multiple other reasons why I didn’t tell you I was Dark..”
Kyle narrowed his eyes, letting go of the other to cross his arms, "Caleb, what did we talk about with the whole keeping secrets lying thing?"
“But it wasn’t relevant to that conversation!” He whined, making grabby hands at Kyle.
"Well now it is," He raised a brow, "What were the other reasons for not telling me?"
He sighed, looking down at his hands. “The last three guys I’ve been with all ended up hating me and wanted to leave me when they found out I was Dark.” He said softly. “I had to wipe each of their memories of it, make them believe we got into some big fight instead and broke up. I couldn’t risk them revealing my identity…”
"Oh…" He swallowed, taking Caleb's hands in his own, "Did… did you think you might have had to do the same thing… with me?"
He nodded, still refusing to meet Kyle’s eyes.
Kyle wrapped his arms around Caleb's neck, hugging him tightly, "I could never hate you stupid, I love you too much."
He buried his face in the crook of Kyle’s neck, sniffling softly. I mean who could blame Caleb for being sad about it. Having three boyfriends in a row essentially calling you a freak was a lot to handle.
Kyle cooed softly, running a hand through the other's hair to help comfort him a little. He wasn't going to let go until Caleb wanted to. He loved him too much to call him a freak and hate him, he knew what that was like.
Caleb hugged Kyle tightly, his arms wrapped around Kyle’s stomach. While he definitely felt like crying, he thankfully didn’t. Instead he just focused on Kyle, his fingers running through his hair, the heat of his body next to his. This was real. Kyle loved him, no matter what. Caleb was so thankful to have finally found someone who could love all of him, no matter how dark those parts of him could be.
((Yes that was a subtle and somewhat accidental pun))
(lolol we stan)
Kyle relaxed into Caleb, continuing to play with his hair, holding onto the other tightly. He loved him so much, he didn't know what he would do without Caleb in his life and he definitely wasn't going to leave him anytime soon.
“I think I’m okay now.” He whispered, his grip on Kyle loosening a bit. “Thanks..for everything.”
He pulled back a little, pressing a light kiss to his lips, "You're welcome, I'm always gonna be here for you."
He smiled. “You better, I don’t want to lose the most adorable guy in the world. You know what an ultimate flex that is? Helps boost my rep among the other gays.” He said teasingly.
Kyle blushed deeply, rolling his eyes as he tried to ignore it, "I'm not the most adorable guy in the work thank you very much."
“You are too the most adorable guy in the world, thank you very much.” He replied sassily. “And! You’re blushing. Case closed, I win, you lose.”
Kyle whined, pouting and flopping back on the couch, "Nuu, I'm really not!" He protested, going a deeper shade of red, "You don't win this isn't fair."
He laughed, leaning over Kyle with a grin. “And for the millionth time darling, life isn’t fair, so neither am I.”
His pout deepened and he huffed, sticking his tongue out at Caleb, "You're so mean."
“I thought you liked it when I’m mean~” he teased, a wide grin on his face.
Kyle squeaked, hiding his face in his hands, "Caleb! You can't just say stuff like that!"
“Oh really? Who’s gonna stop me?” He hummed out, the smirk staying on his face. He loved making Kyle flustered like this.
He stuttered, trying to form a coherent sentence with no luck as his brain essentially short circuited. He wasn't going to lie to himself, he liked it, but he wasn't going to tell Caleb that.
“Uh huh that’s what I thought.” He chuckled.
He pouted, "There's no need to call me out like that.."
“I know. But it was still fun. Now come on, don’t we have places to be?”
"Yeah, but you've gotta get changed first," The pout faded as he grinned up at Caleb.
He rolled his eyes. “Whatever. But remember what you promised me afterwards.” He winked before he grabbed the bags, going to get changed.
"Wait!" Kyle quickly grabbed one of the bags, the one without the clothes, "Get dressed first and then you can see what's in this bag. Well, one of the things. The rest is for later."
