"Fine, I guess." he replied slowly.

"Are your ribs still hurting?" She asked. "You are due for your next dose of painkillers in an hour."

He thought for a moment. "A little bit."

She nodded. "Okay I can see if we can up the dose," she said going to walk away. Finn sat down next to him again.

Jay leaned his head on Finn's shoulder.

Finn smiled. “Eat your breakfast. I have to go change some bedpans,” he joked.

"Ewww." Jay replied with a faint laugh, sitting up.

Finn laughed and kissed his cheek as he stood up. “I’ll check on you in a bit,” he said smiling.

Jay smiled back. "See you."

Finn nodded and left the room.

Jay kept eating, smiling softly.

The nurse came in aN hour later with pain killers and the social worker came in after. “Good news I found a group home nearby,” she said.

Jay nodded a little bit, looking at her.

She handed him a pamphlet. “They have strict rules about visitors but I’ve heard good things,” she said. “You should be cleared to leave the hospital this afternoon and the police got an arrest warrant for your father.”

He nodded a little bit. "And…my mom?" He asked softly. "I don't want to leave her with him."

“Once he’s arrested she should be safe as well,” she said.

He nodded a little bit. "I…okay."

“She’ll He brought in for questions but they’ll be close to the same as yours,” she said. Finn walked in but stayed in the doorway.

Jay nodded slightly. "Okay." He replied softly.

She nodded. “Okay I’ll be back later to pick you up,” she said.

He nodded again. "Okay." He replied softly.

She nodded and left. Finn walked by. “Hey I can’t stay long but I do have my lunch break soon,” he said.

Jay smiled up at him. "Okay."

Finn sat down next to him and kissed him On The cheek. “You won’t believe the weird patients I’ve seen already,” Finn laughed. “I love this job.”

Jay kissed his cheek in return. "Ouch." he replied with a smile.

Finn laughed slightly resting his head on Jay’s shoulder. (Hey I’m probably not going to be in much today and maybe tomorrow not feeling that well)

Jay smiled softly, leaning his head on Finn's.

Finn relaxed and brought a hand up to play with Jay’s hair.

Jay leaned into the touch, a little smile on his face.

Finn smiled as well. Relaxing slightly. “Anything i can get you?” He asked.
